Post your map ideas on a beachy map, then I will have some others help me smash the best ones together and make one of the best thought out maps ever in the history of bungie!

how about just the outer edges of the silent cartographer map from halo 1? maybe there could be a way to move to the other side of the island by moving through paths, but all entrances to every structure should be blocked off.

If you wanna see an airplane cemetery, why don't you just find an old airplane and look at where it goes?

With the ideas of thousands of uncoordinated fans that know nothing of map design and just want the biggest, most unbalanced map ever, you'll probably make the worst map ever.

two islands in the middle of the ocean; miles apart. Old, Rugged bridges connect them barely, with spaces so large only warthogs, ghosts and specres can make it across. theres pelicans and phantoms. Each island has a base, and an arsonel of vehicles.

You can only get to the other side of the map if you're in a vehicle? So that not having a vehicle makes you have an even larger disadvantage? And Phantoms and Pelicans in the Multiplayer? Listen, there is one concept that is very, very important in making a map: balance. Try not to kill that concept.

or you could just camp in a large tower in like a corner of the map and snipe the dudes crossing, also you can hi-jack the guys jumping during mid-jump

Yes, but players generally wouldn't make much progress if they just camped in one part of a base and waited for a vehicle to come to board it. Just as long as there isn't something like a Pelican in the game, I think that the map would be okay, but I think that it would be great if there were things like teleporters and small walkways for infantry to use to get from one part of the map to the other.

maybe, sorta like a battlefield map i hope though, i just hope it's really detailed

Each time someone stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. That hope is three little numbers: 1 - 1 - 7.

There is hope in us all. We gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face. We must do the thing which we think we cannot do; stand with the Master Chief and Finish this Fight!

The Return of Blood Gulch, Ocean Style, I can invision it now, a vast ocean at Dawn to get the red effect from the sun and instead of bases you get fortesses on two islands being red and blue bases. You will get jet-skis and also proper 3 man boats and a macine gun turret.

That would be so much more fun!

The caves would be underwater, and still can get up to some high ground should you want to be a sniper or go stealth underwater on a one man mission. Heh, this map however would be about the team work.

You know what, how about a huge Desert Level like the one in Battlefield but in Africa, stong waves of sandstorm playing havoc on your hud, making the radar useless.

Result to vehicle combat? You pretty much admitted that infantry are at a large disadvantage to vehicles by saying that players have to result to using vehicles to have a fair chance at winning. What if they don't have a vehicle? What if other people have the Sniper Rifle? You shouldn't need a Sniper Rifle or a vehicle to have a fair chance to win. The outcome of the game should not rely on how close to the vehicles you spawn to.

Satan, you're being very negative, which I bet is bugging some posters. Try to come up with ideas, not shoot them down.

On the previous post< I must admit I might of sounded a bit of lost but back to metter at hand, I was thinking maybe a closed swampy level but make it in a Flood infected environment with flesh everywhere and with a lab in the middle much like the one in Resident Evil.
