Flood name one!

For me it's Aerosmith mainly because in the US they are treated like Gods but really to me they sound like a generic rock band with a couple of decent songs and having owned a LP of theirs I can say its one of the few CDs I've given to a charity shop.
I was tempted to list Coldplay but I spared them as Rush of Blood to the Head is fantastic so dishonourable mention.

A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal.

And from FOX, two phantoms were born.

Nirvana

Though I didn't grow up listening to it so I obviously don't 'get it.'

I agree with you they were good but have the reason the were big was because they were different and Kurt Cobain's suicide was a major playing point.

My band and artist networking/information site. Check it out!

On Aerosmith, they're big and recognized because they were one of the first american rock bands to take back the reigns from the british invasion at the time. They were great in their time, but after the 80s they went down hill.

I personally think the Beatles are overrated

If their next albums go the way of Mylo Xyloto, then please mention them.
Their first four are terrific, however.

For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

Most pop bands and singers.

There has barely been any bands to go as experimental as the Beatles post 65 and get away with it.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I feel like the Beatles are overrated. I enjoy their music, but people need to stop acting like they're the only good band to ever have existed.

Agreed. I cannot stand when people claim that only the Beatles ever experimented with music, and everyone else copied them. I normally point them over to the Flaming Lips department, and ignore them.
