Nirvana, to be honest, they are pretty much garbage. The members were average guitar/instrument players at best, and most of their lyrics made no sense. I find it quite shameful that they are mentioned alongside the rock n roll greats when in reality I could think of several bands and guitar players that could easily wipe the floor with Nirvana, yet, Nirvana is mentioned in the same league as them just because their leader died.
>implying average instrument players can't create great music
>mfw you even said they're average at best
you're wrong
Well how do you define "great music"? I am trying to define it by some objective Rock standards--how efficient and complex they are with their instruments (usually guitar) and their lyricism.
>implying music has to be super complex to be considered good
>mfw you think kurt should have been shredding arpeggios each and every song
do you even music?
Needler Rifle you are dead wrong
>implying you have to be able to play any type of song from any genre of rock
they played their genre and they were great at it, that's all that matters
do the red hot chili peppers need to be able to play lamb of god songs, and vice versa, to be considered good musicians? obv not
you're wrong
Although I do enjoy simple stripped down music your argument seems to be 'Just because Kurt Cobain isn't a good gituarist doesn't mean Nirvana are not amazing'. I'm afraid it helps... Greatly.
