Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.
Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

As much as I hate to say it, Superman has this. Bob just doesn't have the control over his powers that Superman has. In fact, his main attack is just ripping the enemy in half with his bare hands.
Now, when (not if) The Void gets involved, then it gets interesting. I still see Superman winning, but I also see him losing some teeth, or even an eye in the fight.
Let's say hypothetically speaking, Robert has complete control over his powers and is completely sane.
Would Supes still win?
If he's aware of what Supes is capable of, then he wouldn't be holding back. So maybe not.
But then again, Sentry's power has an upper limit, whereas Supes' does not. I guess if it was an outright punch fest then Kent would win. If not, and Reynolds is going full out, he wins marginally.
No it doesn't. In Siege, the authors were quite clear, Sentry has no upper limit on his power set. The only reason Thor was able to beat him is that Robert wanted to be beaten.
As far as the question if Sentry knew how to control his powers... I don't know. The main reason is that his whole power set wasn't revealed to us. He has the powers of flight, he's as strong as the Hulk at his angriest, he can breath in space, project energy etc... He also has a limited control of reality around him, like the Molecule Man. He reforms after some beings kill him, and he can resurrect the dead.
That's just what we've been shown.
