Subject: Can your friends understand what B.net forums are?

Butt ugly ape” remarked Sergeant Johnson always making fun out of the situation even though he had been hit by a spiker round in the arm. He mustered up the strength to continue and the team moved on. The Arbiter informed him that the next room held The Prophet of Truth and this was the final room before extraction. Jun proposed that he takes a shot from a distance the prophet and they all head back to the ship bay for extraction. The team agreed on this and breached the last door…

Everybody I know at school thinks its some kinda crazy people website with ridiculous topics of conversation, but thats only when I'm on the flood.

What bout you guys?

EDIT: Most of my friends are casuals so the only games we may ever discuss are NBA 2K or Call of Duty. Even though I did give them a laugh when I showed them that shaq made a video game lol.

My husband knows and understands what b.net is. He also understands why I come on here but what he doesn't understand is how I do it so often...

He's easily angered by ignorance.

Most of my friends get it. I'm really hardcore about the game industry in general and most of them knew that from the start. When they found out about this site, they weren't surprised. I think their opinion of this site, however, is quite neutral.

Bungie doesn't like French on their site.

None of my friends or family knows that I'm a avid B.neter. And I'm not sure if they even know what a forum is..Never bothered.

Most of my friends browse some kind of Internet forum, so they get what I do on here.

Being in OPR & Recon's age bracket - No, my friends (outside of B.net) would not understand B.net.

My friends make jokes about it being a pr0n site because I'm on it whenever I'm free but most of my friends are gamers too so I think they can understand

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I would suppose if the few real friends I have visit internet forums themselves, then they could understand me being here on Bungie.net.

I don't know if many of my offline friends know the B.Net forums exist.
Some of my friends do browse reddit and 4chan, though, so it's not like the place would be alien to them.

My friends think that everyone here, including me, play a little too many video games. However I usually share random threads I find on the flood since they are hilarious.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I know some people who used Bungie.net IRL, some people also used Bungie.net a lot for stats and to get nameplates.
