Subject: Bookless school where everyone has Ipads

Country: United States.
State: Pennsylvania.
County: Warren.
I graduated from high school on June-11-2011. I'm 19 right now. I'm turning 20 in December. I like playing video games, and board games. I like reading Sci-Fi, and World War II novels, and what not.

I don't know which is cheaper to maintain, pencils and paper or a lot of iPads, but buying everyone an iPad just sounds unsettling, like if some of them will end up broken or stolen.

Buying all these iPads would be more expensive, but over time buying pencils and paper would cost more. The other thing is that they wouldn't have to keep buying books as often. Let's say you have a school the gets new books every 5 years becasue they become outdated. If they have iPads the can just download the book onto it. The only thing they have to do for the iPads is to keep updating them throughout the years. With what they are doing with them they can keep the same patch for years.

iPhone 4S 64GB Black.

My school uses iPads for books, but it'd be impossible to replace copies and hardback copies with the amount of work.

It's great because you're not carrying forty books home every day for the amount of homework, and people don't have back problems in later life.

Please do not send me group invites.

It's important to remember that tablets wont be replacing pens, pencils, and paper; just textbooks and workbooks [at this point]

I dunno I think the less we use paper the better. Why not move forward and use devices such as this in schools? I think its a great step forward.

There's two limitations at this point:

1) Cost
2) Realistic implementation.

As we talked about earlier, what happens a lot is that the students get the new tablets/laptops, and the teachers don't use them in class.

I hear you on that, just saying that I think it's a good step forward. Maybe not the route to go, but things like this should be on the table for the future.
