Subject: Halo Wars... anybody remember?

I still play HW multiplayer quite often... and I'm a general.

Halo Wars was awful.

I'd like a Halo Wars 2 if it was for PC only that way it could be a real RTS game, and if they fixed the base building and supply gathering mechanics

The game controls made the game too hard for me in my opinion, I couldn't even beat it on normal. It felt more like a chore than a game when I attempted it.

Never played the multiplayer.

I like Halo Wars. My friends and I still play a good bit.

I hope so. It's going on four years without a good Halo game (ODST being the last).

No, there is literally nobody on the entire planet who remembers Halo Wars.

We had a very successful Community Carnage a few months ago. Believe me, people remember. It's a pretty fun game for customs honestly.

If this ever happens again, please let me know!

Yea if you could, put me on the list too!

Allow me to redirect you here. It's where Carnage's are planned. I believe Halo Wars is actually going to be in this years Winter Games.

Wow, really? The controls? Too hard?

Heck, most people complain it's too easy.

It was a bit simple as far as RTS games go, but it was like an introduction to RTS games for Halo fans so I think it fared pretty well for that.

I, personally, loved the game.

I thought it was pretty good. It certainly has flaws, but I still enjoy doing a 3v3 against Legendary with my friends.

I really hope a sequel is made.

It had a lot of potential and I personally loved the game.

Yeah, it is surprising, usually I see typical responses from pc elitists about it not being a real RTS game.

For example, this:

Halo Wars was awful.

I'd like a Halo Wars 2 if it was for PC only that way it could be a real RTS game, and if they fixed the base building and supply gathering mechanics

But I guess to each his own.

Halo Wars had fantastic cutscene detail. The gameplay was pretty good too, I still play it from time to time. It's not without flaws, but it's not bad.

Simple Plan for ever! Yes I'm a emo and I don't care what you say. I love all my friends and my guitars! Emo4life! <3

I really liked playing Halo Wars, building up a huge force of Hawks, Scorpions, Spartans and Cobra's made me feel pretty good. The story was meh, so I rarely re play through it. I had the idea of playing through as the Covenant, doing the opposite of what you did in the UNSC campaign. So instead of destroying the huge Scarab, you had to defend it until you could destroy the UNSC base. Any any missions to do with the Flood could either have been replaced with rescuing stranded Covenant forces or perhaps place a few missions on different battles that happened on Harvest.

I hope so but it's unlikely. The thing that impresses me the most is the fact that it's still alive. At any one time there's usually 9000 to 12,000 people on it. I know of no other RTS on the 360 that's stayed alive for as long as it has. Most burn out in a year but it's been alive and well since 2008.

I salute Ensemble Studios, it's a real damn shame they got disbanded.

This thread is bringing back Doubles memories... going for the dual Brute rush, nearly killing them, falling back, letting them think they've survived, bringing in the Scarab/Engineer combo... good times, good times.

The fight has been complete.... now get the cookies!

While we certainly share your enthusiasm for the return, we here at the Bungie.net community are mostly made up of snarky asses and jerks who will ridicule you for making a thread about something revealed months ago. We regret that your innocent intentions will almost certainly be replied with anger and sarcasm, and politely invite you to don your Flame-suit, because you just did the internet equivalent of jumping up the Construct lifts.

The original Dawn of War was better in my opinion.

That was a true RTS, especially better than Dawn of War 2 where they tried out a different crappy system.

Halo wars was all I was playing the last couple months. Love it.
