Do these people honestly believe that banning gun shows will stop mass shootings?

For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

lol at anyone who blames inanimate objects instead of our piss-poor healthcare.

I forget the exact town here in California, but they were recently sued by a local gun show for banning said local gun show.

Turns out is a 1A issue as it is their right to assemble and the government cannot take that right away.

Besides, gun shows offer a great direct and indirect revenue stream. From the show it's self, then from local businesses like gas stations, restaurants, and even hotels.

It's usually easier to get guns at a gun show. They should be regulated the same way which I think they are supposed to be but with so many vendors it's difficult. So the solution to them is to ban them altogether.

It's not so much about trying to stop mass shootings as it is a concession to the Newtown tragedy, and rescheduling things out of respect and sensitivity.

99% of gun vendors at gun shows are FFL holders, meaning they need to do a background check. The 25-50% of dealers figure that aren't FFL holders can only come from including sellers that aren't selling guns.

Its funny, every gun show i have bought from required a back ground check and full forms to fill out.

But the concept of banning shows its pants on head retarded.

Dear tomorrow, Find some sensibility, Respond to emotion.
Dear Politician, Define sagacity,
All chances of survival are beginning to diminish.
Comedy is no excuse for our own blasphemies.
Mass media, Mass pessimism, Mass Denial.
My television tells me to panic, but I don't think I'll listen.
The apathetic force us to persevere, with their backwards priorities.

I bought like $80 of terribly corroded ammunition that broke my rifle.

Needless to say, I am very upset.

Not throwing in my opinion but that seems to be the reason.

Please do not send me group invites.

I've never been to a gun show. Can just anyone go? Do they still do all the paperwork and background checks that a retail shop does?

I go sometimes.

I find it to actually be cheaper to get a can of 7.62x54r at a Gunshow then to order it online.

At a gun show it's 80 dollars + tax for 440, online it's 100 dollars + tax + shipping for 440 rounds. Considering they weight 40 pounds per can, that is a lot of money for shipping.

I personally would not buy a gun at a gun show. I still have to abide by the California 10 day wait, and still have to pay DROS fee. On top of that they are usually marked up. It's better to buy in a store then at a show.

Most people go to shows for Ammo.

They usually happen on weekend, have accessories for cheap, ammo for cheap, and stuff you may just not find easy like replacement parts for older guns.

Your reasoning is retarded to be honest.

Yes, most of sales are attributed to an FFL, that means you file your form 4473 which is a background check.

There are some sales that are either Curio and Relic sales or private transfers. But those can really happen anywhere, gun shows just tend to be meeting places.

Very serious background checks and personal guns only being handguns.
Also you could have rifle under a hunting licence or sport.

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

While I recognize that the gun shows have a right to exist, I am not supportive of them. The culture is too loose about selling firearms. That most people in attendance think that anyone anywhere should be able to buy a gun with 0 tracking and 0 accountability...

If they were to be banned, I would not shed a tear for them.

People just seem to be turned off by the gun culture at the moment. It'll die down like it usually does.
