In games, do you put away your weapons when you aren't using them? I've noticed that I do this a lot when I'm playing games like LoZ, or any game that allows you to put away your weapons when not in use. I was wondering if this was just me slowly going insane or if others also did this.

EDIT: Totally realized how weird the title must have looked.

yes, it takes something away from the game for me if I have my bow out during a funeral or something along those lines

Yes, old habit from games that let you move faster when your weapon is lowered, and games where guards see you as a threat if you approach with a weapon drawn.

Yeah, exactly. That's probably where I got it from, and the fact that it just doesn't seem right in my head if I'm running at an NPC with my weapon drawn.

This, and the disposition system in Morrowind, where having a weapon drawn would damage disposition.
