Like the gentlemen said, fatigue and weariness can cause impaired judgement, as well as a high fever. Severe pains can slow down most mental abilities (Memory, problem solving, etc).

Fatigue, lack of sleep, and impaired motor controls. All of these are common symptoms when sick. All of these can impair judgement.
