Trollhunter is a fictional movie. A very good fictional movie, but still fiction.

Trolls are about as real as every godzilla attack that ever happened in movies ACTUALLY happening.

But I've always wondered this. In monster movies, a the start everyone always dismisses monsters as not being real, and then they strike. Why is this impossible in real life?

Per Audacia Ad Astra

No. They aren't real.

Dear tomorrow, Find some sensibility, Respond to emotion.
Dear Politician, Define sagacity,
All chances of survival are beginning to diminish.
Comedy is no excuse for our own blasphemies.
Mass media, Mass pessimism, Mass Denial.
My television tells me to panic, but I don't think I'll listen.
The apathetic force us to persevere, with their backwards priorities.

Troll Hunter is an allegory for internet trolls.

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

Because, 1. What purpose would hiding trolls serve the government?

2. Usually monster movies have pretty big monsters. Ever wonder how land animals don't get as big as water animals? And why water animals have a limit in mass to about a whale's size? The bigger the animal, the larger the territory and food supply must be. Most large whales eat the smallest and most plentiful food sources. Most large land animals are also herbivores. Even if outside the water the creature could support it's mass, most likely they would be herbivores.

I actually mixed two points there. Let me try again.

1. Modern animals have size limits due to amount of food and territory. Dinosaurs may have been more massive then creatures today, but most likely the earth held less creatures at any one time. Remeber fossil records we have are built up over millions of years in any given time period.

2. The largest animals are usually herbivores or plankton eaters, due to eating the most abundant foods. Even if there was a creature of large size, it couldn't be carnivorous unless there were larger herbivores for it to eat. It would starve otherwise. And be difficult to cover up.

3. Humanity has done a pretty good job at elminating things larger then it. Almost every animal larger then us, not domesticated is threatened or endangered.

NON FACET NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRUM PERNĒ¢UM

Hey anything is plausible, right? I did like Troll Hunter, for a "handi-cam" movie. I thought the SFX were pretty good and the plot wasn't to bad.
