I think I'm addicted to achievements.

  • 01.07.2013 2:06 PM PDT

Only when I'm completely bored.

  • 01.07.2013 2:06 PM PDT

I never did.

I never did.

This, and I never will.

I'm addicted to raising my Gamerscore. I really take pride in how much Gamerscore I have.

It's a two way street with me. I won't rip myself apart trying to get them, but sometimes I like the challenging ones, such as beating Dead Space 2 on the highest difficulty.

Opinions are like butholes. Everyone's got one, nobody wants to hear about it.

Xbox LIVE gamertag: Dat3lessNutella

To look up my Halo stats...search for the gamertag TopWargamer.

One does not simply get rid of TopWargamer so easily.
You know this to be true.
ALL HAIL GABEN

Not me.

I'm in love with Jesus and proud of it!

Getting the harder ones is more about bragging rights than anything else. For example, I beat Gears of War 1 and 2 on Insane difficulty. I think that's a notable achievement.

Other than that, they are pointless.

I dont think so

The human element always mucks things up.

That little bleep bloop still brings a slight tickle to my bumhole after all these years...

'Κύριε Ἰησοῦ Χριστέ, Υἱὲ τοῦ Θεοῦ, ἐλέησόν με τὸν ἁμαρτωλόν.'

Nope--mostly because I haven't competitively played a game on Xbox LIVE since Halo 3. Every Halo game since then has been a step down and has gotten less and less competitive. Halo 4 is a lot better than Halo Reach, but still falls short. And the armors are hideous, so I don't really have any motivation to unlock any of them via achievements.

I know everything, I've just forgotten most of it.

Also, my XBL Gamertag is 'Wenggh', not 'A Stolen Fruit'.

Bleep Bloop.

"Hello. My name is Stephen Hawking. Physicist, cosmologist, and something of a dreamer. Although I cannot move, and I have to speak through a computer, in my mind, I am free. Free to explore the universe, and ask the big questions."

I find some of them interesting, as a way of tracking and rewarding initiative in games. Like the ones for The Orange Box for defeating all the challenges, it helps me want to come back and tackle puzzles again.
But more to the point, I find it a nostalgia factor, where I can look at a game I played a while back and see achievements spanning three years, and remember how much fun my friends and I had on that particular title.

Just for the record, cough syrup is the bane of my existence.

I'm a rewards member, so I get special gifts depending on how much gamerscore I have.

Otherwise, no.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

If they aren't impossible to achieve, then I'm going to attempt them.
I don't care about gamerscore, just the fact that I got the achievement.

  • 01.07.2013 2:34 PM PDT

Just remember that no matter how terrible you feel, or how much you want to let go, there are people who care about you and love you.

Yes

  • 01.07.2013 2:34 PM PDT

Get the hell off my planet!

I try for achievements, but mainly in games that I have a vested interest in. I have all of them in 2 retail games and 2 arcade games, had them all on Reach and Halo 4 until DLC achievements came, and now I'm working on DBZ Budokai HD Collection. 4 more to go!

  • 01.07.2013 2:35 PM PDT

Unless they're stupidly difficult, I don't mind getting them, gives me something to do.

  • 01.07.2013 2:35 PM PDT

Why are you here?

I try for most single player achievements, but not for any outrageous multiplayer ones.

  • 01.07.2013 2:36 PM PDT

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

When I had around a 4k gamerscore, all I wanted was to hit 10k. Now, I'm close to 18k and I want to hit 20. I don't really go super hard for achievements anymore like in the past, but If I'm playing the particular game for a long period of time like Halo, and the achievement is reasonable; I'll most likely go for it.

  • 01.07.2013 2:36 PM PDT

I like the 100% complete feel rather than the individual points.

  • 01.07.2013 2:38 PM PDT

achievements were only good with earlier xbox360 games. like COD2, Deadrising. only 2 I can think of with next to impossible achievements. which gave me a reason to keep playing it.
