I was recently messaged by an old 'buddy' from high-school regarding some shady business. What it is exactly, I do not know, but here's the transcript of the conversation:

---------------------------------------------------------------
Him > What are you doing tomorrow?

Me > Probably nothing if I'm still sick.

Him > Come to my house tomorrow around 12, I have some buddies coming over to talk about a job.

Me > Sounds pretty sketch aha.

Him > Bring some friends too if you want.

It does but it is multilevel marketing.

Its legitimate.

...

But bring as many friends as you can.

You'll see why when you here.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not exactly sure of what to think of this. I did some research on what 'muilti-level marketing' is but it sounds conceptual. I'm curious as to what this is about. Flood, any thoughts, opinions, or questions you might add?

Exactly. I had a discussion with a few close friends that wanted to investigate for curiosity-sake, but the moment something illegal is displayed we're out. As for the guy that messaged me, I would not imagine him stopping me from exiting.

My understanding for MLM is limited. Exactly why is it the worst and why should I avoid it?

Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

It's basically a pyramid scheme and a scam. Don't waste your time with it. You should probably advise your friends, too.
