Am I a "hardcore" gamer when all that I like to play is solo campaigns in games?

Multiplayer isn't that fun anymore.

I find it hard to care whether a player is hardcore or casual because... it's a damn video game.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter.

If you spent 70 bucks on a game so you can jump off the map or go around blowing up friendly vehicles then you suck.

What do you call someone who has been a gaming fan most of their life, has collectibles, action figueres, and merchandise, but never plays competitively?
People have the right to enjoy their hobbies however they like as long as they aren't hurting anyone, that's my point. I've always wanted to get into collecting, I think it'd be fun. Seems expensive, though. :P

It's both enjoyable and expensive. Do it.

"Hardcore" is relative.
Only people who don't want to be casuals and aren't hardcore enough say this.

Assume who you are, deal with it, casual.

It's not the only reason I purchased the game, but trolling for hate messages is hilarious because of how serious people take their gaming.

Jay acts like she's better than everyone else simply because she's a chick.

I find that people's definitions of hardcore and casual gamers vary significantly. Some consider hardcore gamers to invest loads of time into a games mechanics, while casuals don't. Some consider hardcores to play for competition, while casuals play for fun. Me? I consider hardcores to really appreciate the little nuances of a game, regardless of skill level, while casuals want cheap thrills and the equivalent of a Michael Bay movie.
GUYS WHY DO PEOPLE NOT ENJOY THINGS EXACTLY THE SAME WAY I DO

I don't understand how you expect the Flood to react positively when all you ever seem to do in your threads is belittle us and overgeneralize. Almost everything you post could be classified as "Flamebait," seeing as you never seem to have any intention other than to say "Hey all of you think like this, and you're wrong!!"

It's kind of funny that the term casual is basically insulting someone for not being a no life.

"They don't call him Flopper for nothing"-AquaBlader

Despite my high gamerscore I still consider myself a casual just in the way I play. I goof around and don't try very hard and tend to overlook small details.

I actually have a bit of a weakness for really cartoonish collectibles, like bobble-heads and the like. I love plushies, too. I buy my little brothers a lot of small Mario and Pokemon figures whenever I see them in stores because they really seem to appreciate them. Honestly, if I had any space in my bedroom to display them, I'd probably do the same.

Being alone.
You're a mod, you should be used to that.

None of you are hardcore gamers, I probably would be the closest one to a hardcore gamer if you take into account my prior gaming "adventures". I was ranked for 1v1ing on MW3 on When they had a ranked portion, they moved it though and I was ranked 9th in North America on here, if you want me to prove it just look at my gamertag here and go off of that and look at the rankings on either channel or just look for a video by sin bulletproof on SLB, he's on my FL and I actually trained him.

Don't think I'm arrogant about that, because I'm not. I only bring it up in threads like this.

One of the only reason I dislike plushes is that they are hard to stand upright.

I was thinking about getting a Shinx but it's rather large
