Example

For some reason, on many pages these ads randomly pop up when I roll over certain words. I have Ad Block installed, so I was wondering why these might pop up.

Does anybody know?

Did it ever occur to you that ad block/antivirus software puts viruses in you computer on purpose?

I like how your sub box is full of science and political videos but your recommendations are full of anime girls kissing each other.

What doesn't kill you, only makes you stranger

I've got adblock and that has never happened to me. It could be spyware if it's just random popups.

Turns out this was the problem. The extension had a different name, but it was something that I had never knowingly downloaded.

And yes, I did have AdBlock on this whole time.
