the moderators are very quiet? It's like when they get elected they just never post even though they seem to be on a lot. Of course there are exceptions, but generally you never see a moderator post nearly as much as a normal forum user.

If it's actually their job then I get it, but I'm talking about when it's not one.

Real account.

Join me as we make new friends from different communities!

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

I always find it funny how once active members become mods they usually fall off the face of the website.

I like how your sub box is full of science and political videos but your recommendations are full of anime girls kissing each other.

Just Zoid being Zoid ^_^

If they get caught up in discussion, they can't monitor the rest of the forum

Because regular members orgasm and quote everything they (the mods) say.

They're beaten with wet noodles in Urk's basement until they learn to be quiet and hidden. Like a Ninja.

I'm talking about when it's not their job though. Besides, you can discuss things and monitor the forums at the same time.

Huh, I never thought of it that way. That actually makes a lot of sense.

OT: Recon posts about as often as a lot of users do.

This

And, some of the mods do post in here quite regularly. Other prefer to stay quiet. They can have alt accounts too.

You, I don't like you.

They're called Forum Ninjas for a reason.

What if they're moderating a forum that's not b.net?

yeah, I always thought that if I was a mod I'd always be active. Probably even more than I am now.

The shadow on the wall.

Silent

I don't know about the mods here (aside from Recon of course)

But the mods over at waypoint are on quite a bit. Well, some of them anyway. I know two very active mods on waypoint.

As for hear, I can only name recon.

It's normally a power given to a user because they are deemed worthy, not that it's their job.

Recon, Revan, Bobcast, evilcam, Old Papa, Foman, and Duardo are some of the more active mods around here. Stick around a little, and you'll see them.

They are far more stealthy than I. At my age, I have to calculate and budget the energy it would take to fade into every shadow and it eventually comes out to a result of "oh well, took too long anyway, they see me. Screw it."

I would say its because there are proportionally less of them than us. And they probably already lurk most of the time as it is.

When the boy you like has a girlfriend.

You only think they post less because the average forum-goers all kinda blend together.
