Have you ever bought a game thinking you'd like it, only to find that you're totally hooked after an hour or so and you just can't stop playing?
I thought I'd have that experience with Skyrim, but surprisingly I didn't. Same goes for Halo 3, Halo 4, Battlefield 3... the list goes on. However, one game takes the biscuit. One game has destroyed my sleeping pattern.
Anno 2070.
I've started two "Continuous Game(s)" as the initial factions, and each game has lasted over 5 hours. There are in-game notifications that let you know when you've passed two hour intervals, so for my first playthrough to have almost 1,000,000 credits, 7000 citizens and a small empire, with over 8 hours play time? Damn, I got my money's worth. And before you ask: the combined 12+ hours play time is in the last 30 hours or so. Help.
Sadly it was in the sale when I bought it, so anyone looking to try it will be slapped with a £30 charge.
Has anyone else ever experienced this? What game was/is it with?
