There is just something magical about leaning your head back, letting your eyes roll into the back of your head, and taking a piss while floating in the swimming pool.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/08/valve-backed-hardware-t o-appear-at-ces-2013 The more I read about what Valve is trying to do the more curious I get.

This article talks about a computer that fits in your palm but is more powerful than a gaming console. How the hell is that going to work?

You know how Valve could blow the industry away with this new console they are bringing out? Announce that Half-Life 3 is a console exclusive that is only on their console. Hell I'd buy one.

Why did you click the more button? By accident? Reply is at the bottom...
They call me The Precursor

I have 110 Steam games. If they were all controller compatible and fit in my living room I would never leave the house. So it will probably be a big deal.

"If you want to test a man's character, give him power" -- Abraham Lincoln

It wont be a big deal at all. I personally couldn't care less about it, and I doubt there is even a good amount of people that are more interested in this than a next gen Xbox.

I work for the Department of Defense.

I hope it is a big deal. I would love to make the 720 and PS4 look like jokes in comparison.

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

If HL3 was an exclusive, if the 'console' was more powerful than the 365, if Destiny was available on it, then there's a decent chance I might actually forgo the 365 until Halo 5 launches.

And I need a decent controller.

RIP Halo 2: November 9, 2004-May 10, 2010
I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

I hope it is a huge success.

I hope it is. At this point there isn't anything really keeping me tied to LIVE and when my subscription runs out this year I won't be renewing it. Halo 5 will have to look reaaaaaally good for me to want to buy a next gen xbox.

If Valve's console is set up with steam, and they get it out before the other next gens, it'll blow them out of the water.

I'm rootin for ya Gabe.

I would love to play PC games that I have never had a chance to due to not being able to afford a good PC. And BF3 on PC would be a blast. Will it be key board and mouse compatible?

If it works with Steam only then you can forget about BF3.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

I've got a feeling it'll be a game changer.

Hopefully they will make an exception for origin.

Well I'll be using Nvidia's Shield so this is out of the question for me. Anyone getting this likely doesn't already have a Gaming PC. It will also likely be missing some of the great things about PCs, but we must wait to see. Just the thought of no customization and possibly no mods? I'll wait to see but I hope that won't be the case.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

IT'S NOT A CONSOLE!

It's just a very tiny PC.
And Valve didn't make it, they just funded it.

What defines a console? I would say a PC is a console.

Is it supposed to be a PC/console hybrid?

A machine made for games that does not run the same OS as a PC.

This world wants to drag you down... And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around your neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.

Honestly this device is blurring the lines between Computer and Console, but technically it's still a Computer. It just looks to have the same accessibility of the console (e.g. ease of use, brand recognition, TV gaming etc).
