My Xbox 360 won't go in HD anymore with the HDMI cable, it only goes in DVI. I'd be fine with this but it also makes no sound

Anyone know what could have caused this and how I can fix that

Nuke it from orbit

Try switching channels. Is your sound on a different channel? You may have the RCA cables plugged in incorrectly.

I am the Thorian, known as Species 37 to you people. I am an ancient sentient plant that is fifty thousand years old. My ability to hibernate for thousands of years makes my real age impossible to guess though you are welcome to try.

I have had that happen to me numerous times.

All I have to do is unplug the HDMI cable, switch the console off at the plug and then put everything back in again.

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

I didn't know that was a sound. Hmmm.

OP: I'm not sure. What year/model is it?

Why don't we just share the hill?

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

I'm not using a TV I'm using a monitor, so there's no slots for the RCA cable anyway, but I never needed them before since sound showed up when it wasn't in DVI
