We all know this is the last Halo of the trilogy. However, could it be the truly last one ever?
There have been many theories and arguements about the ending of Halo 3... but what do you really think?
If this is the last Halo that ties the knot... what do want the stakes to be? Should Spartan 117 live to see earth survive and be praised as a hero? Or should he give his life in the end and become a legend.... Master Chief, the true savior of humanity..and the world.

Anyways, no. Chief shouldn't die. Its too predictible and its been done so many times before, its not what Bungie would do. Now please, stop repeating old topics.

Don’t get mad if I flame you because you cannot spell, or because my three year old has better grammar and etiquette than you.

I think his suits powercell will implode and he will turn into a star. A super star.

If they really dont plan on continuing the Halo series the really could kill him because there could always be more spartans in the future and there are already some alive (Books) Plus who knows maybe the forerunners will come back pissed off and we will wind up fighting them.

I dont really know, I am pretty lost as to what is going to happen, I have some ideas, but nothing solid, I already know I am gonna love it, either way it goes.

I actually wouldn't mind, but only if the setting was more into the future a bit.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

1. Every single Action Movie always ends with the hero living all the time (the hero rarely dies), The Master Chief was built to fight, so after the war is over he has no purpose.

2. Joseth Staten allready stated that "the hero's in Halo have flaws, they are not perfect hero's".

He also stated that "the Halo story is not about a hero who gets stronger and stronger and ultimitely defeats this much more powerfull foe".

So it's obvious The Master Chief could die in Halo 3... or maybe "Seargent Johnson" or "The Arbiter".

This is big ending....someone has to go. Well, they don't have to go... but it would make it more dramatic for a huge finale.

I know, if The Arbiter or The Master Chief die in Halo 3 I'm gonna cry.

But if Seargent Johnson dies I'm not only gonna cry, but me and one of my buddies will grab some paintball guns and give him a 21 gun salute!

God bless you Seargent Johnson, we will always remember you and your one liner taunts against those split lip bastards!

"You must face the truth squarely and without flinching from duty. Our enemies are mortal no longer. Mercy for such as they is a chimera, self-deception is its only ally. Dedicate this weapon, given unto your hand at the behest of the Emperor, to their destruction. Regard its function as your only duty: you live only to bring cleansing fire."

most likely the arbiter would die considering its his purpose. and in a way i want chief to die cause i really like drama. like at the end of braveheart, the matrix (3), starcraft (when tassadar died), and other stuff

I wouldn't mind him dying...well I would...and that would also leave no room for more Halo books and we all know that those are better than the games....

I wouldn't mind if the Arbiter kicks the bucket. However, I probably wouldn't be able to sleep for a few days if master chief dies.
It's all about the drama baby!

Imagine if Seargent Johnson dies in Halo 3.

It would be dramatic and funny at the same time because he would probably have on last hilarious oneliner to go out on!

I don't want MC to die, and anyway, he wouldn't have no purpose after the Covenant conflict is over, did he have no purpose before the Covenant came? No, humans will always have their conflicts. And the Hero dieing thing is really cliche.

It would be more painful for MC to die then it was the first time you see Mufasa (Lion King) die.

If Chief dies, then they'll put his head on that mountain next to Abraham Lincon's.

I always thought that the Arbiter or Master Chief would die to save one another.
