there are some things in halo 2 that i think are just lame, such as the shotgun, and SMGs killing banshees in MP
i think that these gameplay issues need to be changed for halo 3 to make them more realistic, such as making the shotgun more consistent, and making sure that banshees can only be destroyed by heavy weapons , not SMGs and pistols, as is stated in both halo 1 and 2 manuals
what do you guys think about these issues? do they need to be changed in halo 3, or stay the same?
Well, if you're going for "realism", then the Halo series might not be for you. There are teleporters, aliens, plasma weapons, flying spaceships, and worst of all- respawns. I don't know if things should be changed based on their realism, but rather, what makes it the most fun for the most people.
i'm not going for total realism, and the way your post came off makes your sound like a know-it-all ass. if you would have understood my position, you would have realized that i was talking about specific gameplay issues, not general themes. if you're going to try to show yourself as a superior intellect, show it to someone who will actually buy it
Haha, not flaming you, partner. Calm down :)
What I read in your post was a critique on things that make the game less realistic. Personally, I think that realism is something that was tossed out once they included the first alien, or gravity lift, or sticky grenade, or futuristic war soldier. And I'm not exactly sure how it makes me an ass to say that I think the game should do what is going to be the most fun for the most people , I just really feel like that's how it should be made. I don't think they should tweak things based on realism.
