In my Xbox magazine a saw that they didn't want flood in Halo 3 I think this is just wrong because my favourite parts of Halo 2 and Halo where the flood parts of the game.

the writer of your xbox magazine is moronic and childish and should be fired if he can't eliminate his own personal bias from his writing. Bungie will duifully ignore his stupid whining as should we all.

The game would not be called Halo, and would lack a storylin if the flood weren't in it. Of course the writer of that magazine is probably too dumb to realise this.

i really dislike the flood, but they HAVE to be in it. The storyboard guys know this. There is no way, absolutely no way, the flood won't end up on Earth (or where ever else the game may take place.)

To play or not to play....

The flood should be absolutely retained in Halo 3 in fact they are vital to the story. To remove the flood at this time without something wiping them out is simply crazy. One of the main points (if not the MAIN point) of the Halo story is the battle with the flood.

Sheesh I love fighting the flood. The flood levels are scary as heck and the flood present a strong enemy that is absolutely hard to fight. Some people think the flood are to hard to fight and that is why you get people saying they want the flood removed. Darn it to all heck the Flood are supposed to be hard to fight.

I think the Flood will already be here trapped inside the Arc. The Flood are in every other Forerunner facility so why not the Arc?

Maybe the survivors of the last activation had to leave the Arc due to the Flood presence and they sealed it up. Hence we now have forgotten all about our former glory as reclaimers and possibly decendants of the forerunners themselves. (just an idea)

I think that comment was related to if MC wasn't busy fighting the flood MC would get fat. Though I suspect he would be busy dealing with the Covenant.

People need to read books more often... you can't simply yank something as intricate as the flood out of a series and expect it to work... seesh. Let's just remove Samwise from Lord of the Rings at the beginning of the second book!

i like lan parties
gamer tag= Mr P Red

its not that theyre hard to fight, its just theyre boring as hell to fight. a game taht was before a thought provoking, interesting game becomes a mindless zombie shooter. and what more, in halo 2 the shot gun was a peashooter compared to halo 1's. they took the onlly last part that waws fun about the flood (shredding them to pieces with a devastating shotty blast) and traded it for "balanced weapons"

I agree. I don't like the flood, they freak the hell out of me especially in Legendary when they're creepy looking AND hard to live through. But they're the true evil of Halo, and with Gravemind they will have to be there.

floods = purpose of halo
halo = forerunners
forerunners = covies who worship them
covies = human = war = mc = me = good game

"but you already knew that, I mean, how couldn't you?

Only when no Human brick is left atop another, shall we be satisfied with your destruction.

As much as I personally dislike the flood, (because it ends up like any other zombie game in those levels) They are needed in the storyline, its just important.

You have a great point, but if Halo 3 takes place on earth only, then I think their shouldnt be any flood, that would be a crazy story twist, the flood being released on earth.

I want the flood to be a flood, like in Halo: CE. I swear, everywhere I looked in Halo: CE I saw flood, in this game, I had to find them myself. I got the idea that Bungie themselves found the flood too hard in Halo: CE and decided to give themselves time to recharge their shields, which is why the flood come in bursts in galo 2.
