Maw

I was wondering if there was some [free] game recorder that I could get and use to show my awsome ownage in Halo Multiplayer. If you know of one, please tell me.

Thanks Master Kim.

Fraps and GameCam are good recording programs, and you can use the unregistered versions, which aren't bad.

Yeah, but it is a pain to actually get recordings of good stuff, pressing the button right as you go into a pistol fight gets a little annoying.

Wait, what the hell? I downloaded Fraps and it stops recording after about five seconds! It won't record any sound, either. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

No. Fraps just sucks.

Oh, and, I wanted to know why the GameCam site just gives me one of those stupid search engines that normally pop up on a dead or non-functional website.

planetgamecam.com not just gamecam.com

There is a free version of FRAPS with no time limit, on the Sponsors vs Freeloaders site, just google SvF.

Gamecam is better, because the files are a lot smaller, which means once you enter a game, just start recording. Just record during an entire match, instead of just when you enter a fight. It's a pain to edit, but you'll be glad when you realize that you are no longer missing awesome, spontaneuos stuff.

Thank you! I'm making a video clip of something I need to ask people who've played Halo (No, not the game, the second level) and seen that big ramp after the underground marines.

Reality is just a crutch for people who can't cope with drugs.

Does GameCam drop your FPS like Fraps does?

No, and if it does, then I am sorry to say, your computer sucks.

No flaming.

For the Mac doods, I recommend Snapz Pro X.

The demo offers screen capping and unlimited video, but with no sound.
