okay...so in the books, MC attaches an engineer to his back, to fix stuff on his armor while he was doing other stuff...so the only way I can see to impliment engineers into Halo 3 would be to make them like an over shield, or active camo, like in Halo CE. you just find one, walk up to it, then it attaches to your back, and then you get some kind of boost, like your shields recharge quicker, or you get double health once your shields are down...just a thought of how they could bring the long awaited engineers into the game..

that is a good idea. adding a new powerup to the game would be a good addition.

How about you find one and walk up to it and it restores your health? If there is health.

Or they could repair vehicles. I just think it would be a little wierd to see your fellow co-opers with little pink squids on their backs.

Probably not as a powerup, but as a repairer like mentioned above. Gotta hate it when your beloved vehicle is about to explode...

I'll have you know

Indestructible!

It'd be funny if they had rare "accidents" while fixing things. Maybe they try fixing a warthog, but in the process end up killing themselves and hurting others close by.

What are you smoking?

Master chief never attached an engineer to anything, he just let the engineer repair his shields and armor. and a needler. he never fused the pink engineer to his back.

I remember them being a fair bit larger. One took apart a warthog and then put it back together in a short amount of time. You'd think it would need a bit more mass to handle that feat then the breadbox size critter you describe.
