Omega Archangel~Then there was one...

Life always finds a way, so do those -blam!- people. It is inevitable sadly. :(

Nope. Cheaters already found ways of bridging and Standbying. Not to mention boosting.

There will be new ways to mod a 360, once Halo 3 comes out modders will find hacks, mostly soft mods I believe. Also, people are using burned discs to mod, that has their own settings on them, so if your host it affects the game, 360 or no. I don't think they are detected unless feedback.

There's always going to be "cheating" in every game you can find. of course it won't stop.

OMG WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST REALIZED THAT THE 360 HAS A MIRACLE BUILT IN TO STOP CHEATING!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT IS IT?????? THE XBOX 360 HAS AN IGNORE LIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU'VE BEEN MODDED WHICH WON'T HAPPEN, THEN YOU CAN ADD THEM TO YOUR IGNORE LIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its very simple. Bungie can use their own servers to host the games. However this could be very expensive it will put almost all cheating down to zero. Of course there are always new ways people find out how to cheat. but then again there are always new ways to fight the cheating too.

if everyone put cheaters to their ignore list, then why would you cheat if it takes 2 hours to find a game of most likely other cheaters?

it doesn't matter what they think of cause the 360 has an ignore list so youll never play with them again

I dont believe that cheating will stop completly, but now that bungie is more aware of it, I believe that they will implement more possible methods to counter it into their design, instead of trying to patch it with updates. Also i believe that with an interview with Perter Moore, he mentioned that XBOX Live is aware of cheaters, and insted of thinking about what they can do to prevent it, they are shifting their focus to "Ok, what can we do about it once it breaks out."

Honestly, if servers stop modding.... just think how much more $$$ you would make microsoft if you somehow spent a lot of $$ off servers and put cheating in halo 3 at an all time low or even... none at all. Hasnt the cheating on xbl driven off plenty of customers or have discouraged new ones to buy halo 2/?? I was one of those. Why would i spend $$$ for a service that has a LOT of cheaters online for a stupid #? Bungie should somehow find another way to have a balanced game with players of the same skill instead of the ranking system unless servers stops the cheating. I just feel that if they get servers or something that stops cheating, even if they costs them $$, they are going to make so much more $$ if it results into less cheating. Then you could still use the ranking system for halo 3 that was used in halo 2 for a balanced game.

I think it will be funny when cheaters have such a problem with the ignore list that they have to find a mod to get around it.

Or more realisticly they start rumors about mods that bypass it.

Bungie could look for cheaters by the most ignored people online.

It SHOULD solve the problem of the cheater buyin the cards and boosting the freinds, because the freinds will be ignored.

I hope that they do. I don't see the point in cheating. It might be fun in custom games but in ranked games your not showing skill.

lol wut?

theres some people who have made a chip for the 360 but its not on the market yet but it will be soon,

It cant if its for the 360 first theres no subscription cards for 360 you have to buy new subscription right off the market place so if they have moded material on the 360 they will automatically get banned so really there just wasting their money and are risking more because if microsoft finds out you messed with their stuff they will F you up with law suits fines and all those pretty things, so I wouldn't worrie about cheaters in Halo 3 .

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

I hope that when Halo 3 comes out, people will stop spamming this forum and leave room for people with good ideas (me being one of them).

On topic, I believe cheating will stop for a time. I don't think there's any way to stop Bridging or Standby though.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

also, ban people that keep the radio on so you can hear it through their headset.

Only if it's Rap music,lol.

I don't really see that as a bannable offense, I'm pretty sure it's not a bannable offense either.

"Do u guys think in halo 3 that the cheating will stop"

Heck no. Unfortunately, I don't think it'll ever will. Especially the little brats on Live thinking that they're superior. Meanwhile they flinch if I raise my hand to slap them. Sometimes I think twice about going on Live for Halo 2. For that stupid reason. I would say atleast half, if not more, cheat and/or modify their games or consoles.
