Well the old Lazer Warz went like this:

Wambobob stabs Carl.
Carl comes back to life, summons monkey that attacks Wambobob.
Wambobob comes back to life and fish-slaps the monkey.

Repeat for 50 pages

The new ones consist of 20 paragraphs per reply. The author painstakingly describes how they build their army, fight other armies, etc.

Edit- Gasp! I spelled my own name wrong.

I personally enjoyed the original Laser Wars, but it was riddled with spammers and people who couldn't type-fight worth their weight in text. I do it to brush up on my writing once in a while, and remove some flaws and difficulties I have with making plots. That's the idea though. Over time, it turned into a plot, and that's ok. It's not everybody's taste, but I find it interesting once in a while. Excommunicado was great though, he knew how to write (unlike most here). I suppose that just annoyed me. One thing I don't care for is all the uber-evil gut-your-unborn-baby-and-turn-it-into-an-undead-warlord characters that are quite... creepy, to say the least. Oh, and Xeroh, I personally enjoyed your subplots very much, and if you ever get more time, we could use some better writers. Later all...

Still rampant,
Dolorous

First off, Laser Wars provides Halo fans with something to do while they wait for Halo 2 to come out.. like everything else in the forums..

Laser Wars is better described as a massive game of monopoly with no rules and no end in sight. Everyone takes turns creating their story, and adding to it as they go along, sort of like an interactive novel.

I agree, parts of laser wars can be worth skipping, but that is the product of having different people providing their own ideas for steering the plot, and if you dont like laser wars, dont read it.
