To play or not to play....

Everyone seems to be thinking about what the Mast Chief is doing in Halo 3. However happening back on the Halo ring?

The last we saw Miranda Keyes, Johnson and the Arbiter they were discussing the state of the Halo rings and the location of the Arc. This discussion was going on with Guilty Spark.

As I remember things Miranda Keyes and St Johnson are both stranded as their ship is now smashed into High Charity and over run with Flood. The Arbiter is pretty much stranded as well.

However at some point when Half Jaw was assisting the arbiter Half Jaw mantioned he was going to try and take back a cruiser from the Brutes. If he succeeded then their may be a way for the Arbiter and possibly his new allies to get off the Halo ring.

Of course another Covenant ship might assist but it is more likely to be orchistrated by Half Jaw.

An interesting train of thought.

Well, actually, Miranda and Johnson are in Delta Halo's controll room. They will probably take the cruiser Half-Jaw took back from the Brutes to whevever the Ark ends up being. (Presumeably Earth)

ODST got that from FSR, which I introduced him to. You want to get into symantics, it's my line. Although I don't use it too often, furthermore technically it is FSR's line. I talk to Subrandom though.

That was confusing. Well, he says it the most.

You get credit for it being your line, though. Alright? lol

I was pretty much thinking the same thing. It seemed pretty obvious to me at the end of Halo 2.

LOL sorry if my original post sounded a bit confusing. Maybe I should have spent a bit more time on the presentation. :p

It's fine, this question isn't asked as much, so I am not as mad at the 'Repeat Factor'. Yeah, Half-Jaw's invinceable self shall help them through.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

Well, that answered a few questions I had been pondering. Thanks!

The Gravemind is on High Chartiy with Cortana to deal with. Will she beat the Gravemind? Hmmm makes another interesting question.

Don't get me wrong the Flood are still a very real threat to anyone on Delta Halo. But the Gravemind seems to be otherwise engaged at this time in the story.

Do you think they'll try and go after Cortana if they found out she was on High Charity?

I find it very difficult to get an interest in campaign again after what Halo 2 did to the story. I just saw the E3 2003 trailer for this game yesterday and boy would that have been good. But instead of the defence of earth we get MC and Arbiters Excellent Adventures, where they go to ANOTHER halo and meet a giant talking plant.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Gravemind is not a talking plant, he is The Flood intellegince.

He looks well like a overgrown Venus Flytrap(maybe he's just cranky that no one watered him for the last 100,000 years). In fact, all the Flood forms vaguely resemble plants to me.

If Spec-Ops Leader did secure that cruiser(snuck in himself, or led the others in an assault?), what about the other Covenant and any Marines on Delta Halo?

As for the Flood-I don't think there's much of an outbreak on Delta Halo. No Flood would've got past the Sentinel Wall. The only big threat is that Gravemind and the Flood now control High Charity and has Cortana.

I don't agree. Halo 2 just isn't Halo 1, I think that's why your complaining. I enjoyed the Arbiter, and the story itself. It had a Hell lot more action then in Halo 1, more twists and turns. You could say there are plot holes, no, there is not. Halo is something you need to look deep into to understand.

Look deep into to understand? Are you trying to be funny? There is nothing to understand. It's all plain to see. One would have to be brain-dead to think of it as something layered or complex.

Bleating about the smoke and mirrors routine of bringing in the Arbiter and suddenly behold ZOMG STORY DEPTH doesn't cut it with me. It was too short, the whole gravemind thing had no credibility, and the so called 'ending' was like a slap in the face. 'Earth will never be the same' - please, there was only two levels of it (which were more like 1 level split in half). Basically, for some reason, they took off in a completely different direction. You can say you liked it, I thought it killed the magic.

It might as well have been sold under a different title - apart from the fact it rehashed half of Halo 1.
