If you look at the halo for xbox page where the guilty spark is at the bottom of the page you will notice that there is the health bar and shield indicator slightly above GS. Now if you look at the halo 2 page the animation is different. Final look at halo 3, its the same just covered in crud. As i said its very minor.

Thoughts?

what i mean is that people assume its new armour because he has new gloves.

Oh, my bad, I thought you were saying that the armor in Halo 3 was new, and that is was a Mark VI.

I'm not sure, the gloves are enough proof for me, although I am open to the possibility. I'll wait for some Bungie approved proof.

I've been meaning to get around to it but I'm going to compare pictures and see if I can't find any subtle differences.

Well, here is an obvious one.

Bungie's favorite number is VII, so why not include a MJOLNIR Mark VII?

I think he is still wearing the same old Mark 6, but with upgraded parts.

We know that much that he is wearing upgraded parts. What its a Mark 6.5?

Nothing personal...

I think the Chief is sporting new and improved graphics, with greater details- Not a new suit.

Exactly, along with some upgraded parts. One thing I want to address. People keep saying "it's a different color, so it's a different armor". It's a different color because it is worn and combat-weathered. When Mjolnir armor gets older and worn out, it becomes an olive-brown color, as is stated in the novels.

why would he have new armor? halo 2 was most likely about a 5 days ago. and the new gloves could be just an upgrade thet gunns didnt manage to put on yet.

They look exactly the same, but with more more detail. The gauntlets do look a bit different, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Besides, there's no logical explanation as to how he would have gotten a new suit. Unless you get it as you go through the game.

that which is not dead can eternal lie, but with strange aeons even death may die.

ok, I think it is the 6.5 cuz there ARE new parts, new designs, etc.

the front of the helmet, there is a new black piece on his face.

the arms are missing parts, and have new armor plating.

or course the gloves, and elbow-wrist parts.

I still think it is VI just bungie might call it VII cuz they love seven.

I agree, there obvious differences with helmet, the gloves ect. ect....but realistically, there is almost no time for the Master Chief to get a new suit. They have got to be just a few upgrades.

Maybe from another dead spartan?

I think it's mark VII, I mean it dosn't have to look completely different to be new and improved, right?

Also if the gloves were just new add ons they would probably be a different color since as someone pointed out mjolnir changes color as it gets worn out.

Yes, that raises more speculation, if it was the Mk VII then, wouldnt it be green, or more
"new looking", I just think that is it the 6.5 with some minor upgrades, or just new parts,

and someone said that the helmet was the old one, well It isnt.
