In the previous halos in co-op both player one and two were master chief. I think this time round it should be like say perfect dark based on what characters are around during the level or if not that a special rank of marine. Having two master chiefs takes away the realism...

Maybe the second player should be a marine? I mean... since there is only spartan left. Wait. I forgot about the spartans left on Reach?

Keep it how it is.

Having only one player be the spartan wouldn't be fair to the other player, they'd have too much of a dissadvantage over the one playing as the spartan.

I agree with hipoey and think it should be some form of marine.

i mean gameplay is no different but i would feel comfortable knowing that my evil twin wasnt behind me. i would prefer like an elite form of the marine. there would be no difference besides a different skin. plus people might finally fight over being second player. same goes for the arbiter. you could just be another one of the elites in his group.

All Spartans are olive there, slick.

And please, never spell 'that' as 'dat' again. It makes my eyes hurt.

you can be fighting an alien enemy and still have a realistic game! i mean look at Half life that has loads of realistic features and thats not exactly a real life scenario

omg Its the year 2552, Earth is being attacked by one big ass fleet of alien ships carrying who-knows how many aliens who somehow learned to speak english, but they are all are gonna get their asses kicked by one (or more) super soldiers who was trained starting at 6 years old and eventually finished training by getting geneticaly enhanced, not to mention he was from a planet other than Earth and everyone can travel all over the galaxy. OH WAIT THERE ARE TWO MASTER CHEIFS IN CO-OP. THATS NOT REAL!!!!! CRAP!!!! [/sarcasm]

seriously youve gotta be kidding me. first of all, i couldnt stand PDZ co-op mode (or single-player for that matter). second, just about the only things that are real in the WHOLE game are that there are humans and Earth exists. lastly, its the year 2552......we've already started s i assume by then we will be able to clone people.....just think of it that way if you really cant stand it.

its just not needed. most people dont even think of it. even more people dont care about it.

A Guide to Networking, Matchmaking, and Host in Halo (HBO mirror)

Bungie Friends and Family invitee, and sender of "random emails" about networking.

If it bothers you so much that there are 2 Chief's in co-op why the hell do you play Halo? Seriously. It's a game. Get over it.

"Oh -blam!- Bungie, co-op is unrealistic, sacrifice gameplay to ensure that it's more realistic."

Retarded idea #63000000.

Excuse me Fargoth but really, what is the problem with one little suggestion? Kind of like playing deathmatch against 15 other people and each time you get a frag, "blasting yourself in the face", i.e. all the same character models! It doesn't matter a fig about realism, what I'm trying to say is that there is more depth to a co-op system and makes it more fun if you know that you have your own exclusive character, not master chief olive 1., and master chief olive 2., and master chief olive 3. etc etc. Oh btw PDZ co-op rules and that's final. Nite nite.

Hey one one seven if they did cardboard graphics "A la paper mario" or made the grunts out of one pixel or reduced the number of guns to 4 instead of 10+, would you still say "Meh meh meh, it's just a game, get over it!" No you wouldn't. period. All I'm doing is making suggestions, not critisicing bungie for crying out loud ("Love you bungie"). bungie rule and i couldnt think of a better fps maker!

Why do people have to criticise new suggestions? It's not as if having a second co-op character would ruin the gameplay is it? "Waaaahhhh oh no the games ruined the facial dynamics have been significantly altered! MUM!!!!!" i mean, Grow up! And I quote, "Suggestions from gamers form the foundation for a series' improvement". :o)

whats the problem?!?! look at your first post. you said it was lacking REALISM!! that means not realistic. you obviously care about how realistic it is because you said it was unrealistic. like 117 said, it would be sacrificing gameplay for realism. not only that but it would be sacrificing gameplay for the smallest of things that wont make the game any more real because it could barely be any less real as it is. lastly, dont start telling me that i should like PDZ co-op. i dont like it and, from views of lots of other people, most people didnt like it. you may like it but that doesnt mean another game that is nothing like it gameplay wise should be like it. leave it how it is and it will be fine. "If it aint broke, dont fix it" and it sure as hell isnt broke.

if you dont want criticism then dont post on forums.....if your worried about people responding as i do youll be in for quite a surprise. im nice compared to a lot of people on here or any other forum. im not trying to be mean about it either. im just saying it isnt needed. also, your not saying just to change what the second player looks like, you said change the gameplay.

Nice Eljay.

I don't know, I mean, to me it really doesn't matter that much, but maybe if they were just different colors?
