Alright i've had enough of this stupid arguing over music. Bungie will have what ever music they decide to have in the campagin, just like in halo 2. The music they had didnt even have the lyrics but thats ok, it would distract from the game. You all seem to be frogeting one very important thing or mabey you dont know at all but here it is. I think you fools are forgeting that halo 3 IS FOR XBOX 360!!! For those of you you dont know, Xbox 360 allows you to copy you music to the hard drive from your CD's or from your Mp3 player. You can play this music in any Xbox360 game!! I listen to Dane Cook while playing Perfect Dark Zero, its a great feature. So, you can listen to what ever music you like while playing halo 3, so stop this asinine bickering because you can listen to what ever the hell you want!

I already know how to manage the -blam!- music on the xbox 360!!! The problem is that if bungie decides to hire that -blam!- band again there wont be any way to -blam!- avoid it. Who the -blam!- says I'm whining, go rot in hell.

Wow, I just realized that everyone who has ever said that you can listen to music while playing Halo, is a moron.

The guys who want bands are morons too, don't get me wrong.
But they mean IN GAME, yea, you can listen to your iPod, but then you suck, because you can't appreciate what great music the game has.

Personally, no bands, none at all, at least those that have lyrics, lyrics don't fit the games music. Songs with lyrics are overated, I like songs that have no chorus, or possibly no lyrics at all aside from some I like that do.

So just stick with the Martin Man.

Exactly. I'm only going to listen to music when i'm playing on xbox live. There is no other mood than to kill endlessly.

so what if they hire a sh177y band and feature their music in the game. You can just play over the embedded music with the 360 music feature. Sorry for ticking you off, but i was getting mad at all the people you just seemingly forgot about the music feature on 360, and that this game is for 360. Who cares what music is in the game or who bungie hires to put BACKGROUND music into the game. When i play a game i foucus on the gameplay, not the stupid music that's playing in the background. I thought this thread was going to be an intelligent discusion about music and its corralation to the gameplay, but its just a stupid argument about Breaking Benjamin and corrporate licensing fueled on by idiots who have no real knowledge of music other that the crap that is played on the radio these days. I cant believe there are people arguing about who gets hired to put their music in a game. I'd be more worried about the game its self, not the meaningless filler it contains. We need to stick to actual composed music by Marty O'donnell. If they hire anyone to put music into the game it needs to be someone like John Williams or Harry Greagson Williams or Hans Zimmer. Personaly i dont care to much about listening to music while playing a game but for those of you who do, dont worry about the music, if you dont like it, play something else you saved on the hard drive.

I agree, but the mood of the game was KILLED completely when that weak rock song came on. I was seriously dissapointed when I heard that. This thread WAS supposed to be for what you just said, but it pisses me of how people want -blam!- bands like Green Day to be in Halo. now its a who listens to what disscusion. Personally NO bands should be in H3.

If they put any band, there will always be someone who isn't going to like it.

Agreed. I rember playing that level and think how retarded it was, then i found out it was hobbastank and i was disgusted that Bungie had sold out halo to these crappy "one hit wonder" bands that clog todays media.

I rather have none of these bands in halo 3 because I liked the soundtrack of halo 1 and how it kept you into the game and pluss if you wanna hear yor favorite ban just use the built in custom music on your xbox360 hard drive.
