I am sorry for making another plot guessing, but oh well it isn't long so keep reading.

I was just playing halo 1, and doing good. I got to the last grunt in the group and stuck him with my plasma grenade. But instead of doing what they normaly do ( im gonna die!, get it off!, etc... ) It said and I quote "not again!." I thought this was wierd because he couldn't have experienced it before, or he would be dead.

The grunt of corse died, but he left me wondering... there are always alot more covenant than humans. If the covenant caputred a flood paracite and transformed it into a way to make the grunts come back to life, then that would explain the huge off balance of sides. You would think that the fate of the earth and universe would have a lanslide affect in the humans side.

Excuse my rambling.

Um... no. "Not again" is just a funny grunt line, and means nothing.

Wow, next someone will try to get plot information out of the grunt line "We make fire, sing songs?"...

...but his "use flood thingys to make things comebact to life" is a good one. maybe the covenant used the flood, but accidently released them..that coud explain alot!

i dont think the covenant knew about the flood before they came to the first halo. i remember the prophets saying something in the arbiter's trial. i dont have my xbox right now so im a little shakey on the details

Yeah this has been pointed out before but congratulations, you found it (no sarcasm there).

I doubt the covenant were using the flood before, but accidentally released them. I remember a line during Halo 2 in High Charity where the prophet broadcasting his voice through the entire structure says something about the flood being a test left by the forerunners for anyone who wants to experience The Great Journey, but I'm not 100% sure.
