wait, you made a thread to promote getting rid of threads that do exactly what you did? umm...can you say hypocracy?

I would have just said it's intentionally ironic.

The perfect reason to enforce the rule.

This thread is a perfect example of a one-liner thread. Each person is posted just one line. Nothing more. Which creates little communication and small amounts of enjoyment. What is there to respond to?

Well, Bungie, you heard him.
You need to waste time and money making sure jellybug doesn't have to witness the horror of one-lined threads.
I mean, why should he go to all the trouble of clicking "back" or the main forum links?
Geez. Get to work!

(Just giving you a hard time, jelly. heh.)

How do these threads hurt you? I mean, The Flood has never been a haven for intelligent discussions that haven't taken place before. If you wish to have an excellent discussion in The Flood, create an original thread and hope people will actually reply to it.

Unfortunately, that'll never happen...one can always expect a reponse such as "Too many words....my eyez!!!"

I agree with you when you say that I am asking something to suit my own personal preference rather than the majority of the community, but how much damage could this do? Enforcing the 'rule' of "No one-liners" will just make forumers spend an extra minute or two to write, yet still get the same results. "No one-liners" does not mean one has to write an essay for every topic... If a person can post a thread in 10 seconds without taking much time to post it, then how is it worth posting?

its a good concept, but would be impossible to enforce. if the min. character amount was 25, here's what people would do....
Subject:new weapons?
Well?.......................................
it would be like the firework law in New York State, impossible to enforce.

Thats what I was saying on page 1, I'd say you need to read a little more.

BTW doesn't PETA stand for People who Eat and Torture Animals?

No. P.E.T.A: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals

If you're upset by a thread someone made on a games company's internet forum, you're very sad indeed. (Unless it has some filthy links in it or something).

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

I'm not sure where that's a ruke. I could be mistaken, but if you could show me a quote it would be appreciated. I know that's a rule in Body Politic, but I don't think it's one on the main forums.

You think it got what it takes to be..?.

God forbid you send me one of those I was checking for cool gamers and saw you messages too, I will scream to the top of my lungs and smash this damn screen/BlackBerry to pieces! You've been warned -_-

What about for very common questions that can result in one-liners?

Assuming that 'ruke' was intended to be the word 'rule', Stosh had posted on the 1st page of this thread that he disposed of the 'one-liner rule'. Doesn't anyone read anymore?

Why is it stupid? Why not elaborate more on your stance in this topic, help share your wisdom with others so that you may aid in this threads growth into an intelligent discussion that we all can enjoy. I think thats all Jellybug is asking.
