You're not completely right, communisme isnt that violent (i have a history test about it tomorrow so i have to get this correct) Marx describes Three fases, the revolution, the Regime, and the *somekind of anarchy*, where you're talking about is the regime, this is needed to defend the community against the rich who wont except the situation and want their Throne back (Russia had Tsaar(dont know the english word, im dutch), and the only way Marx saw to solve this was a though regime which guided the people to victory untill everyone excepted the situation, at that time the regime would go away slowly the no-goverment form would appear, in this everyone is equal in everything, peace and prosperity, people would give up a lot for that, do you want to live in a world where you can be rich but war is poking around the corner?
The fact you cant be religious and no free thinking is a part of the Regime, if this would be allowed the position of the Regime could be doubted, however in the *no-goverment* fase religion is free to believe in and aswell free thoughts. The problem with this world is, we aint perfect, we are to self centered to give up our powers and go to the *no-goverment* fase thats why Communisme failed in Russia and fail in North Korea....
