I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

As long as I don't have to pay to play online!

You will have to pay. Dedicated Servers are not cheap. Especially for all the games that will be played.

Dedicated Servers will more than likely not happen, however even if people mod the 360 you more than likely won't be matched up with them due to the new Player Ranking System. Players who cheat will almost instantly rack up a low player score and those with good scores will not be matched up against them.

Well, I wouldn't doubt the stupidity of modders (for the person who thinks they won't experiment with their 360's), but I also don't want to have to pay for just 1 game (like The BS Police said), and lastly the player feedback someone mentioned that separates the good from bad players doesn't work that well, I use it all the time on GRAW and it doesn't change anything. So I think the most effective way for Bungie to work this situation out is to keep a kind of tracer program on everyone who gets on Live (which would ban the account immediately after finding any sort of mods on the 360), I mean, I'm willing to give up a little privacy for the sake of the modders actually being caught(even though I can't remeber the last time I got modded). BTW, there are no 2-month cards with the 360, it's 48-hour cards, so there goes the dummy accounts.

Doesn't Halo 2 vista have dedicated servers? And I'm sure you don't have to pay to play online. Guild Wars?

They will have dedicated servers, but you have to pay to keep it running. Like HBO could have a dedicated server, but they would have to pay to keep it running. Most of the games on Halo 2 PC would be like xbl, with the host being the server, like Halo PC.

I don't care how they set up their online play. Just hope there is no host.
