Im almost afraid to play it on my modem. but i really want to badly. anyone out there know if im gonna be able to play or am i just fukked.

If you join a game with a low ping you should be fine

If you are gonna play with a 56K, it better be a good 56K that doesn't have latency spikes. The cost of broadband is so affordable these days tho, so why lag behind..?

Yeah you should be fine, just don't host a game that's all or you won't have a prayer. Just look for lowest pings that's all...lower means the closer it is...

Actually I've seen a lot of country folk on DSL.....you CAN atleast get that, it runs through the phone line too...good thing to look into though seriously, if you hope to play high end games like this online...

I was accidentally playing on 56k. What happened was I used to have alltel dsl for my internet which ran at 56k, but then I changed to charter with 3meg. Only to find out a few months later my computer was still running on alltel.
