Ok, Here's how the tourney's going to be set up:
6 on 6 - To allow room for referee, and to encourage tactics instead of general noobery
Hopefully we can get 32 teams of 6 together. If you want to register as a clan you can do so, however there can only be two teams from a clan. This is to keep one clan from flooding the roster with teams. *teams from one clan may be squaring off against one another*
The website for the tourney is being set up so when it's finished people can register there. or they can PM someone who can ensure your team is registered such as myself, Widowmaker or AJ.
I like Igg's idea, however I'm not making the website so I don't know if it can be done. I like the E-mail notices idea as well.
Gametypes will be chosen before the match, whichever the teams prefer. Slayer matches will be held in indoor arenas, and CTF will be outdoor maps.
Vehicles in the CTF games will include:
1 ghost
1 banshee
1 chain hog
1 rocket hog
and 1 tank
for each team. This allows for players to use thier vehicle of choice, without being "sheewhored" or "tank noobed"
Referee's will be present on both teams to ensure the rules are followed.
The rules (there's not many) are:
1: No Hacking of any kind (this includes aimbot, lag cheats, wall hacks, etc)
2: FF will be off, so watch your fire.
3: If a team doesn't not show up for thier match they are disqualified.
4: in the event of a tie, the team with the 1st place member wins.
5: Referee decisions are final, if they feel that a player is being in contempt of the rules, they will warn the offender. If that doesn't work, then the player will given the red card, and ejected. So don't piss 'em off.
Other than that anything is is fair game. The referees will also be there to ensure that the match is documented. With screen shots and possibly some in game Fraps footage for a montage.
I'm looking for some fair and impartial referees if anyone is interested.
