The last with pagan blood.
IMMORTAL.

Well we all know that Halo 3 is going to come out in 2007, right? Of course we do. Now we also know that Microsoft is going to release an HD DVD attachment for the Xbox 360. Now I dont think that anyone has put much thought about this, but a standard DVD can hold about 4 or 5 GBs. An HD DVD is able to hold around 15 or 30 GBs if its double layered. Now think about this, the size of the game will increase dramatically if its put in a double layered HD DVD. I'm going to use GTA San Andreas as an example. We all know that that game is huge too huge to be exact, but it was only used in a double layered 9 GB DVD. Now take that same game and put it inside of an HD DVD and its going to a completely diffrent game.

Can you imagine being able to enter EVERY single building, I can. Take cover behind walls, Interact more with the environment, a longer story, smarter AI, the list goes on and on.

Now back to Halo, If Bungie is making H3 in the old standard DVD then the game's size will be no bigger than the past two Halo games. They were still big dont get me wrong, but this is the 360 we have now, a completely diffrent console. Look at the PS3 (I hate it!!)they are going to be using Blu Ray( it can hold up to 50 GBs). If Microsoft is going to compete with Sony then they need to really to make that HD DVD attachment play HD DVD games.( From what I know now its only for HD DVD movies) If H3 is to be truly next gen(besides good graphics.) then they really need to make the game extremely huge to compete with the PS3.

EDIT: Okay I guess some of this Information is incorrect, sorry.

Dawn of the Dead video Here
6 Minutes of Hell video here

A bigger game would be nice, but I'd prefer not to have to pay $70 bucks for it.

No Halo 3 won't be on HD-DVD, a double layer DVD is enough (9.4 GB). San Andreas used 2.9 GB, Halo 2 used 2.8 GB (without the bonus maps). The biggest Xbox 360 game so far is Oblivion (4.1 GB) and it has a 16 square miles map, thousands of objects with its own 3d model, texture maps, animations and properties and also like 100 hours of audio content. Halo 3 won't be more than 9.4 GB. I'd be surprised if it was 6+GB.

Why would they want to do that? that would be the stupidest move ive ever heard.

It would kill halo sales beucase it would force users to buy the stupid cord.

Cool, my own little box!

The size of a game doesn't really show how long the game plays out (unless it is in megabytes). For example, Oblivion. The size was about 4GB(not sure) but the 200 hours of gameplay exceeds it.
