I was just thinking, after looking over the Master Cheif and the Arbiter, what really makes the Arbiter unique? Since Master Cheif went through major training as a child, is geneticly echanced, and is a lone surviver (not including the other few in the books). But when you look at the Arbiter, he is just an average elite with some fancy armour. I really enjoy the Arbiter and what he brings to the game's story line and the perpective, but he dosn't really have a lot going for him to distinguish himself from other elites besides his armour.

So I want to know your take on this and your guesses for what sort of role he will play in Halo 3 and any Ideas you have that may make him more of an unique character.

How he's distinguished from the rest of the elites: he's single-handedley blamed for the destruction of the halo in the first game.

The fact that Master Cheif destroyed it is beside the point. He wants to know what makes the Arbiter so unique. The arbiter became the arbiter because of his so called "heresy".

He is no different from other elites besides his armor, but as for the training cheif went through that the Arbiter possibly didnt doesnt make them any different. An elite against a normal human in a hand to hand combat wouldn't even be a battle... The elite's are stronger just natrually, but matched against a Spartan and you have a much more even match.

The books have some detail as to how strong the elites are. Some of the elites take some pretty serious damage and still give MC a good hand to hand battle...

the arbiter was a gold elite, and the covenant version of an admiral/general. that's what sets him apart

The Arbiter showed the other side of the war; the religious zeal and backstabbing behind the Covenant.

Well...considering the Arbiter killed countless humans (this is how Elites rank up) to become a Fleet Commander/Admiral

(which is the highest rank in the human Navy, besides "Admiral of the Navy" which is only given to a person at times of War..and that was given to Hood in Halo.)

He is a highly skilled Warrior, he is strong, and is most likely lucky like the Chief. This is what seperates him from the other Elites. I still say Chief could kick his ass though.

I like to Rollick

I don't really want the arbiter, it is rather easy to exploit his cloak. A brute would be cool.

I personly really enjoy the Arbiter. Do you think he will have new armour in Halo 3. Sice he is no longer really part of the covenant. I think if he did were something diffrent, it would be something that would reflect his background, and his home planet.
