MLG!!!!!

HE"S NOT TALKING ABOUT "OTHER" THINGS LIKE ARCHER POD MISSILES!!!
HE"S TALKING ABOUT THE F*ING SPARTANS!!!!!

*whew*

Please do not justify yourself with proof that has nothing to do with what we are currently discussing.
What he means is that a lot of people are unfamiliar with the plot, he would be most unwise for Bungie to do such a thing, and thirdly--

THE -blam!- GAMES FIRST MORON!!!!! DON'T JUSTIFY YOURSELF WITH SOMETHING THAT CAME AFTERWARDS!!!!!!

* hem hem*

What I mean is that, yes, the games and books are based on the Halo Bible, what's to say that when Bungie wrote this Halo Bible they said " we are going to keep both the games and the books seperate"

And another thing I just realized,

If they had the Halo Bible, they would have immediately known what to do, because they would have essentially wrote out the story line, Then why [ in the making of Halo 2 on the Special Edition case] did he have to actually right up a story line?

Or does the Halo Bible only tell history?

And if the Halo Bible only tells history, that proves my point double-fold, what's to say that they didn't want to keep them seperate?

I would assume that "anything" refers to anything, not just the Spartans, correct?

Read above, I was informing the ignorant.
THE -blam!- GAMES FIRST MORON!!!!! DON'T JUSTIFY YOURSELF WITH SOMETHING THAT CAME AFTERWARDS!!!!!! *giggles* Do your research buddy, Halo: The Fall of Reach came out before Halo Combat Evolved.
What I mean is that, yes, the games and books are based on the Halo Bible, what's to say that when Bungie wrote this Halo Bible they said " we are going to keep both the games and the books seperate" How Stuff Works: Was the "Halo" story fully realized and segmented into different games, or did you take the story as far as "Halo 1" and when it came time for a sequel, build the story from the ground up?

Pete Parsons: The "Halo" universe has an overarching story that is well thought out and was well thought out before "Halo 2." We have roughly 600 years worth of "Halo" fiction, and we know what happens inside of that universe at any given time. The ["Halo 2"] story itself only existed as notes and was really fleshed out. We know ultimately, at least in the "Halo" universe, where humanity came from, where it's going to, at what point in time it comes in contact with The Covenant [the villains in "Halo"] and what happens well beyond that.

"Halo 2" picks up literally right after "Halo 1." But there is still plenty of story in and around that. And you can see some of that in the three novels we have.

The basic points, people to show up, villians to die, and places to visit are all from the Halo bible, the 'story' they write up is basically putting the player at thosel ocations, and getting in those conflicts.

Except for those occansional moments, all of you who have read the books act like you're in some stuck-up private club that won't budge or move at all until they get their own way. I do not, have not, and never will read the Halo books. My only problem with the books is when Bungie puts too much of the books into the game (which it hasn't, and hopefully never will) and when fans of the books do what I previously mentioned. However, I think, no, I know that Bungie will do a good job with Halo 3 and not put too much of the books into the game. Whatever they do put into the game from the books should/will flow well into it.

The game is seperate from the books. You can't have no involvement with the books whatsoever and then suddenly jam in random characters that were never mentioned before and other random crud. It doesn't work.
Haha. Dude..things that were first mentioned (though not invented) from the books, were major parts of Halo 2..

The Prophet of Truth
Tartarus
The Arbiter
Lord Hood
Fleet Admiral Harper

The Hierarchs
The Prophets
The Brutes

Brute Shot
Battle Rifle
SMG
Magnum

Reach
Orbital MAC Stations
MAC Cannons on Ships
Glassing (Setting Fire to) Planets

Dual Wielding

The Gel Layer in MJOLNIR Armor
Archer Missile Pods

Did any of those things confuse you in Halo 2?
No, because they were introduced IN THE GAME. Halsey and the other spartans were introduced IN THE BOOKS, so there would naturally be more confusion.

This is what I think:

Let them sit in their confusion.

I don't want to not have an awesomely detailed and longer game because they don't know what's been going on, I want things to be resovled and I want a lot of the story to be involved, such as Colonel Ackerson and Dr. Halsey, I also want to see other Spartans (obviously I don't want to play as them, but I want to see some interaction with the Chief as well as the Marines) so things can be as big they can, not just because of Bungie's inituative and creative talent.

The ODSTs were also described as musclebound hardmen almost as tough as Spartans; I recently saw a thread in which the ODSTs should be tougher, as in Halo 2 there is only one instance you get to fight along the ODSTs and they get destroyed easily on Legendary, and these are guys who can rival Spec-Ops Elites.

Who agrees?

ODST's could never rival the Spec-Ops Elites! Your don't know Halo...your too new...
The Spec Ops Elites (who had the elemt of suprise) could not take back the Butte in Halo The Flood, that served as Alpha base...taken from the Covenant, by none-other than the Helljumpers.

The Helljumpers had like 50 KIA I believe, once they got their thermal goggles to see the invisible Elites, they slaughtered most, and made the other dig graves.

Alright.
Youre unturnable, I guess you like the plot so much, but where does it say that the book came out first, and I don't think it counts if they were like a day apart.

But, why do you want the Spartans so bad? Just tell us. And if you say " it would rap up a cool story line"
you still don't get then. Because the games explain the games, but the books explain the books, why mingle methinks.

No. You shouldn't force people to read the books when all they want to do is play the game.

The games storyline does not rely on the books.
The books storyline relies on the game.

I think all of you are blowing all of this out of proportion, adding in details, characters, and plot information into Halo 3 is not the end of the world. Most of it can be explained very easily in fact. Even for the people that haven't taken the time to actually read the books.
And Shiska is right the books do compliment the games in that it provides information and events in greater detail, as only a book can, than we could have gotten through the games.

"Haha" I'm not the one laughing, but I should be.

We shouldn't be introduced to other characters in the third installment of a trilogy. That would cause confusion, because those characters were ultimately used in the books as main characters. Thus, only people that have read the books would have an idea of what's going on if these characters made an appearance in Halo 3. But the other 90% of Halo fans wouldn't have a damn clue, myself included, because they haven't read the books.

The books will not have anything to do with the game in terms of Halo 3's plot.

So basically you want Halo 2, but just on Earth? Wow.

You know, Halo 2 was boring to so many because nothing new really happened, correct? You want nothing new to be added AGAIN?

You have no say in it, I have no say in it. What Bungie says goes. The difference between you and I? Our opinions..and the fact that I'm more on bungie's side, meaning I am number two in this list:

1. Bungie
2. Dedicated Fans who have read the books
3. Dedicated fans who follow the Games' story
4. Fans who play a little Campaign, and a little multiplayer
5. "Fans" who don't touch Campaign mode, and stick to multiplayer

Judging by your arguement, you are nuber three or four. Sucks to be you, since..you may know, Pete Parsons already say that they make the games mainly for themselves, then the fans. Who wrote the story? Them, not us.

Expect the un-expected.

They wrote the Halo bible, and it's complete. The story is finished, just don't cry if you decide to press "A" when that informative Cinematic shows up.

But I will laugh so hard no matter what, if I'm wrong, I 'm going to laugh because no one agreed with you. And I'll still laugh if I'm right.

Cheehwawa, I never thought Halo 2 was boring. I just dislike it because it feels too different from Halo 1. But boring? Not at all. I don't want another Halo 2. I want a different game, but IMO, I think it should be a game that doesn't rely on the books.

By the way, I'm not crying. Even though you automatically assume that anyone disagreeing with you is a cry-baby...it does not make your half-assed assumptions any more factual than they were before you began making posts that absolulely shined when it came down to self-contradictions.
