Africa on 05

Interesting...of course, it could simply be coincidence. *is just kind of playing Devil's Advocate*

That's odd. You could be right...of course, maybe Bungie just wanted to recycle graphics, and Earth's fit the most...but then again, Bungie does seem to have some kind of fascination with Africa.

maybe.....but i find it a little weird that they would put it here for those who are willing to dig for it. and the fact that the halos look like earth

im not gonna try to convince you that the humans are forerunner, but rather, show you that there is at least SOME kind of connection.......

Oh and that Afrika thing you talk about is not accurate it only looks a bit like Afrika but it is very different if you actually look at it for more than two seconds.

i......think its africa, ill post a pic of it later

(something so important was definitly worth the effort of gettin a pic of it)

why is it so hard to accept that the humans were forerunner? you guys are trying to confuse yourselves here. GS pretty much gave it away, now ppl are just reading a little TOO hard into his words and are contradicting themselves

no one has yet to give me IN GAME EVIDENCE that the humans werent forerunner

"Human" history, is it? A record of all our lost time!
--343 GS..Halo
How do people still think we aren't them? Lol, losers.

Whatabout the fact that we are meant to Reclaim everything Forerunner

(We already have started..we have re-populated many planet's that used to be Forerunner...Reach, Coral, The Planet with Cote d' Azur..forgot the name..)

We are the only ones who can activate Halos..
The Ark is on the humans' homeworld..
Halo's were built to have incliment (sp?) weather, to be more natural like Reach and Earth, etc. were..
Atlantis, anyone?
Has anyone noticed that the ancient human architecture (Pyramids, Greek) look suprisingly like Forerunner architechture?

So much things to point to us being them, and virtually nothing points against it.

At the end of Halo 2, Guilty Spark says "My creators along with all other sentient life were destroyed." He is saying the forerunners were destroyed, and he says this in the presence of Miranda and Sgt. Johnson. If humans were forerunners he would recognize Miranda and Johnson as forerunners and would realize that some forerunners were still alive. And he wouldn't say the forerunners had been destroyed. This is big evidence that humans are not forerunners.

This kid obviously doesn't know about evolution. All right, let me give all of you who think the same way as this nut a little mini lesson:

The Halo installations didn't kill all life, they killed all SENTIENT life. Basically that means that it killed all life with highly evolved cerebral functions (multi-cellular organisms that evolved and developed brains for reacting to their environment). This is what 343 Guilty Spark referred to in Halo:CE as "any lifeform with sufficient biomass to sustain the Flood..."
This means that everything that was big enough to be infected by the Flood was wiped out.

However, there are things called microscopic lifeforms that would survive, unicellular (one cell) organisms that would be too small to feed the Flood. These unicellular organisms grew and evolved until they became large groups of several cells of the same organism. These multicellular organisms then eventually grew and evolved more until they became small plant and animal lifeforms. These lifeforms would continue to grow and evolve until they became much larger lifeforms made of millions of cells (like humans and other animals).

Therefore, it is safe to say that although we are not the original Forerunner, we were descended from them from over hundreds of thousands of years of evolution from their genetic material.

To end the lesson: no, the humans are not Forerunners, but we are their descendants. Think of it as the difference between dinosaurs and birds: birds aren't dinosaurs, but they are descendants of dinosaurs.

So yes moeron21, the humans aren't Forerunners, but 343 Guilty Spark recognizes us as their descendants. If you need proof that he does, just play the last level in Halo:CE and listen to what he says after he stops Cortana's destruct program and proceeds to download information from the Pillar of Autumn's compter system: "Finally we have a record of our lost time from each other. Human History, is it? Fascinating!" GS was reading all the information on human history stored inside the Pillar of Autumn and referred to it as a "record of our lost time". (The period of time from when the Forerunners were destroyed and were no longer in contact with the Monitors to the moment that Master Chief and the Pillar of Autumn came to Halo Installation 4; so yeah...all of human history...)

That's all well and good, but the Forerunners weren't single-celled. So thus, how did their geneological line survive to evolve into us?

I noticed it in Halo 2...I think that each Halo might have one Continent from Each main Forerunner/Human Planet (Reach, Coral, Earth) (7 Continents per Halo, 7 Continenst on Earth) or it could just be a eg...or the simply liked the shape, lol.

None of you that say Humans ARE Forrunners have answered my question. It was the will of the Forrunners to destroy us, apparently, so why would we want to destroy ourselves?

the prophets are the ones who are orchestrating this whole thing right?

well seeing as how they despise humanity with such unseen hatred i would say that "the forerunners want us to kill them" would be a great way to rally up troops and try to wipe us out. remember- the elites dont see why they have to kill the humans; they actually respect our valor. but the prophets use the "will of the forerunners" to get the covie to want to kill us all.

How do you know they despise us? Where is your proof? The only reason I can think of is that they are told to do so by the Forerunners.
You want proof?

1. They waged war on us the first time they saw us - knowing exactly who we are/were.

2. They are power hungry - knowing how sttrong we used to be, wether allied with them in the past or not - they wanted us out of the picture so they could have a shot at ruling.

3. Use common sense.

4. All Forerunners (aside from the ones in the Ark) are dead, stated more or leass by 343 GS, meaning there are no "Forerunners" to tell the Prophets to kill us.

5. Use common sense.

6. Look at some of Guilty Spark's uotes about us, and how the Protocol doesn't let an AI, or anything other than a human activate a Halo.

7. Use common sense...that is..assuming oyu have/had any.

I can see how you would be confused, I didn't explain it completely (so many forums, so many idiots to shut up, so little time...): I didn't say that the Forerunners were single-celled, I simply said that humans would have evolved from cells containing their genetic material. Perhaps that was even the purpose of the "Ark": to store and protect the Forerunner cells from the Flood and use them to repopulate Earth once the Flood had subsided (just like the Biblical story...)
