I'm not trying to ridicule everything...it just seems like you do a helluvalot of hard work, and I'm saying it would suck if didn't help when the game came out.

It would suck if "it didn't help".
I'm curious. What do you mean by "it helps"?
You mean like trying to know the story in advance?
Or having an edge in campaign?

*shrug*
To me, surprises (coupled with being wrong) are just as satisfying as having predictions being right. I'm sure any combination of that sentence is possible.

IceWeasel, is your Daniel theory on your site? Or is there another link where I could find it?

im kinda tired so this maybe off the wall.

At some point, an angel comes from Heaven holding a key to the Abyss and opens it.
I think Halo 2 leaves off just as the Flood are about to make their way to Earth and wreak havoc, mirroring the opening of the Abyss. Eventually, the Flood will be defeated and their leader destroyed by the Savior figure (most likely John). I think we can expect a good deal of action from Halo 3.

im thinking that this "leader" of the flood maybe Gravemind and the "key" might be cortana. like i said this is off the wall unless i didnt see anyone else post this. wonderful thery by the way i thought it was marvoulus.

I'm almost positive that Gravemind represents Abaddon. I'm rather stubborn on that note. As for the key, I do recall him calling the Index a key... but I've got more on that for a little later today.

In response to the "wasted work" that some spoke of -- that is the life of speculation! Do you remember when you were a kid, and the Power Rangers would come on, and leave a big cliffhanger into next week? It was so fun to go to school and argue and guess what was going to happen next week! That's kind of what we're doing here. Plus, if we don't do the work, we can't get feedback from others. For instance, IceWeasel and Ender have helped me enormously with some of my work lately just by commenting. Now I have a better of how to view Halo 3 in respect to my interest in the Bible.

* When you mentioned the abyss, & how it's opening caused the sky to darken.
Maybe the Abyss is the Ark which was seen in the H3 Announce Trailer. When it opened, smoke, dust, ect spread, & the sky became dark.
I originally thought that and my second draft of the theory included a whole page on that. Since that draft, however, my conversations with IceWeasel made me believe that the object we see in the Trailer is actually the Ark of the Covenant. If it were the Abyss, then I would question what exactly was coming out of the object. It would have to be something completely of Forerunner design, which kind of breaks the metaphor of the Flood Combat Forms being the Fallen Angels and Gravemind being Abaddon.

I think the Fallen Angels may be the Elites. Almost every character from Halo is being used as a pawn by Gravemind, I believe. Most certainly, the MC, Arbiter, & Cortana. I think he (Gravemind) fears the Abyss/Ark. I'm also beginning to question who is the savior. It seems that MC is, but let's not forget about the Arbiter. One of those two will sacrifice their lives for the rest of us (universe) in Halo 3.

I don't believe the Fallen Angels would be the Elites. For one, they just broke off from the Covenant and have started helping us. The Fallen Angels, once released, torture mankind until they are destroyed.

The typing wasn't that bad since I did it all in Word, just adding in the Text Markup Tags. Does anyone have any thoughts on why the Forerunner would have left the Jjaro gene around for Reclaimers? The explanation I put in the theory sort of fits, but it could be better, especially if the Spartans now represent Angels.

Truth calls John "Demon"...makes sence!

Was that intended to be sarcasm, or were you actually understanding why Truth would call him Demon?

I apologize for not reading the whole post but here it my theory. Grunts are the original Adamic humans and when the angels had sex with the Grunts....we were born! I know it's brilliant. hee hee

Really no sarcasm... I remeber I messaged Zerodev or Iceweasel about it before (sry can't remeber who I messaged)

Truth could also call John "Demon" if you want to relate him to Jesus... Non-Believers called him a Demon!

very nice research. This is the best theory i've ever read of. It really makes sense.

Wow...once Halo 3 comes out, and we have the full picture of everything discussed, we need to condense some of this stuff into one big book. I'd buy it...heck, i'd help write it, if someone would get me the material...
