My friend mentioned when shooting a brute, the fur should come off where you shot it. I'd like to shoot off the big air tanks off of the grunt's backs. Maybe plasma weapons weaker on a rainy level due to the water weakening it. Individual grass would be hard to do but amazing to see(In a way). My friend also told me about wanting to see your reflection on an enemies armor when you attack it. I'd use armor to an advantage if it had great reflection, nothing would sneak up behind me. Blowing up buildings you can even enter and fight in. Etc, what about you?!

How about on a snowy level, snow piles would stack up on tree branches, and when the branches get too filled up the snow falls out perfect looking.

I'd like if you shot the grunt tank with a high power weapon (sniper, BR etc.) the oxygen would start coming out and in like 10 seconds, it would die.

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.
Teach a man religion, and he will starve to death praying for a fish.

Bullet holes on armor when you shoot somebody without shields. If you get shot in the visor, it cracks just a little, and stays cracked until you respawn. (only you would see this.)
destructible elements would be mega sweet. So would foot prints in the ground. It would be fun to track enemies through snow and mud and stuff.

Oh, I just realized you didn't spell anything wrong. Congratulations. *claps*

Do you still mind if I make it into a poll? That would be nice.

Whatever. Go on.

Here's another thing I'd like to see: blood footprints! and dirt stains from a grenades explosion blowing the dirt onto you. Perhaps on your visor? And when you melee there should be a small amount of blood on your gun where the gun hit the body. Eh??

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.
Teach a man religion, and he will starve to death praying for a fish.

I like those ideas. Or you should get blood on your suit if you hose somebody down from close range, like in 'The Suffering: Ties that bind.' That game is frickin scary.

Maybe the weather would depend on the date on your 360. Like september, october its autumn, nov - feb it's winter, march - may spring. etc.

  • 07.12.2006 7:04 AM PDT

it might be too complicated for the 360 to handle, but it'll look good if they manage to pull it off.

In the books (OMG HE SAID THE BOOKS!!) if a grunt is shot in the right place, his methane rig explodes. I would like to see those. Not all the time, just make it a really small target.

-3D bullet holes and damages on surface like in GRAW
-Footsteps that modify 3d surface (e.g. Grass) like in CoD3
-Real-Time reflection on flat surface like in Prey

Just wanted to put some examples of other game to show the that 360 can handle it.

I don't think there will be real-time reflection other than on MC's visor and maybe on flat object. It's too hard to handle in real-time. It's revolutionary that the MC's visor has real-time reflection, I think it's the first game to have real-time reflection on a non-flat 3d surface ever. And other games like PGR3 where the cars seems to have real-time reflection actually have reflection from a bitmap, it's just that they did it realistically because you see what's around you. Halo 2 had it also but the problem is that it was on a very reflective flat object like the glass in Turf and it just sucked not to see yourself in the glass. I'd like to see myself in Halo 3, even if they have to blur the reflection a little to handle it.
