I'd rather fewer, but longer levels.

Think about it - Halo CE=10 levels - long and fun (Two betrayals could take up to 45mins sometimes)

Halo 2=15 levels - Shorter and less engrosing for it. IT felt like mini missions rather than epic quests. I prefer the latter.

30 would be an insane amount, but it would definately be something that you wouldn't beat in a day

Oh i'm sure it could be done if i tried all day and had enough monster =D. but thats what i'm gonna do when i get the game at midnight, again.

we all can agree that halo had beta levels dan h2 thats because there was more depth to them and more scary at times but in campain for h2 when i get to the last 5 missions(the onse with the flood i get really bored ) and quickly wiz past them as the storyu towards the end gets rushed a bit

Exactly. Longer, detailed campaign missions beat a ton of not so good ones.

Help a brother out. Click on the referral link, sign up for a fun game, log in once for the next couple of days, then you never have to think about it again!

And yes. I understand how pathetic that is, but nobody reads these things anyway... right?

Personally, I wish they would create a dynamic script that writes itself and designs new levels on the go so the goodness will never end!

If they're gonna put only 10-15 levels make them as long as Halo 1's levels were. And with many paths to take through it. Halo 2's levels were only 15-20 minutes long,Halo 1's levels were 40-50 minutes long and all with enjoyment and interest. and had only 10 of them. If halo 3's levels are shortranged then make the fights really long to boost it up. and if long range, make good vehicle combat. Really good vehicle combat.

Like he said, the number of level does not determine the lenght of the game. I'd prefer to have big levels instead of that much levels. And where would Bungie find the time to make a Campaign 3 times longer than Halo 1? They have about the same time period and now they have to make a much more complex multiplayer with the matchmaking and all.

"Verily I saith unto thee, thou shalt not be a Jimmy and thee and thy children and thy childrens children shall refrain from Jimmyhood all the days of their lives. If a Jimmy comes among you that does not obey thy Law of non Jimmyness, thou shalt smite them with thine Battle Rifle, pierce them with thine Energy Sword, and squat upon their head seven times in glorious ownership. You shall do this and be a light to all Jimmys for ever and ever. Amen."
- St. Jimmy 7:19-21

I agree that fewer levels that have more depth and detail is better than more levels that are run thru more quickly. My hope for the campaign is that it will have a more intriguing script and storyline than H2 did. It would also be nice if they could enable slightly different outcomes for levels based upon AI responses and the choices/paths you take. This would make for a campaign with lots of replay value, instead of after beating it moving on to play MM and never touch the campaign again.

what if they put something compared to that gate or skulls of H 2 in? the weird message? what about how they put some exploits in maps that u find nice weapons and gun at? trying to find all the Halo 3 cheat items would take weeks, maybe months when it first comes out. so basiically discovering all the halo 3 secrets, finding that darn password to the gate in halo 2, and unlocking it to get something compared to halo 3 when u go there and get something.........well etc. all that would take about a year. so

20+ levels

What is the 'gate' you are referring to?

What i'd like is this-
Halo 3 comes in as two disks, one disk is the entire campaign mode, with support for Online Co-Op (If Bungie put it in). the other disk completely dedicated to Multiplayer and Live.

That way, we can have a great Campaign, and an excellent multiplayer experience.

Enough levels so that the game gets every little tiny bit of information into the storyline and so that the game has a feel that you can replay it many, many times. I want all the levels to have a bit of length to them, about like Halo: CE. Not much longer than that though, if any. I would love about 25+ levels. If all the levels are quality, the game shouldn't feel too long at all.

But whatever Bungie plans to do, I have faith in them.

who says it really needs to end with a certain amount of levels, they release downloadable maps, why not who levels?? extra chapters even??? also, on another note, i wouldn't mind seeing clans create a unique emblem that once you join satys with your amour thoughout the live experience so that even if ya not in a clan match then people can see in game whole you belong to, maybe just under ya own emblem on ya arm or on ya chest?

The game should be long so we can have an exellent storyline. But no repatitive levels. I want there to be large and long levels.
