ok, i have been hearing consistently that the Halo's will kill ALL life, and the only way for life to survive is if there is some sort of DNA/bacteria stored in the ark or the Ark is a sanctuary.

But if i recall correctly, 343 Guilty Spark said that the rings will only kill off all life with sufficient biomass to sustain a flood infection. If this is so, then many small animals, fish, insects, reptiles, and bacteria would survive the halo's. Therefore, the halo's do not completley end life, but just kill off in specificity, thier food.

Did i say that would mean MC would survive? Im just trying to say that the rings dont kill all life, not that MC is too small to be infected by flood. And please try to use proper english (wich includes grammar, spelling, and punctuation). That was very hard to understand.

Sorry to be a punctuation/grammar whore here, but I have to disagree.

I myself am 16, and i feel no compulsion to write in abbreviations on a forum. Think about it, abbrviated language was developed mainly to make text messaging quicker, and also enabling you to fit more into a single message. So you miss a few vowels, and the odd comma, and that is absolutely acceptable in that situation.

But then you come into a forum... you can type 10,000 characters per post, which is, in most cases, excessive to requirement. Keystrokes dont take as long to do, so typing one comma, or adding in those extra vowels isn't going to save you any worthwhile amount of time. More to the point, when you are expressing opinion, people are more likely to respond intelligently if you appear to have thought out what you are typing and written it in proper english.

OK, I'm done... *smokes penguin*

actually he says "all life with sufficient biomass to sustain the flood" no infection in there, so therefore sustain can mean just things small enough to offer them a food source, they dont have to infect it, they can just eat it, so knowing that i dont think small animals will survive, besides how would the halos kill all life except for the small animals?

Think. If the rings killed EVERYTHING, evoloution would not be possible. The small creatures such as fish, bacteria etc are left alive for evoloution reasons. Without them, life would not be able to restart.

I am...whimsical today.

So moving aside from the correct use of English...

The Halo network destroys all Sentient (MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!) life, and life that has a sufficiently large biomass. Bacteria would certainly survive, as would most plant life. Basic multicellular lifeforms would probably be ok too. DNA samples would surely be unaffected.

The Flood are parasites and parasites are sustained by infecting new hosts.

Please try and spell correctly if you're going to criticise others about their english abilities.
