I got his sarcasm...one person has to implement sarcasm and then you get a pile of terrorist chipmunks crashing your party, not fun at all..

I really wouldn't mind spending $15-$30 on additional content, especially if Halo 3 continues the goodness of the first 2.

Has everyone forgotten how bungie implemented the downloadable content in halo 2?

Firstly I thnik it was two free maps made available which you needed for matchmaking. I can't remember the specifics, but the maps you had to pay for were only in a special playlist which only people with the maps could play. meaning you could play matchmaking without the maps. Then eventually all of the maps were available for free, and you had to downoad them for match making. Bungie knows better then to force fans to pay more money for things they don't want to be able to play match making.

Will Halo 3 end up as bad as games like PDZ and GRAW where you're almost forced into getting the downloadable content? I've been thinking about this lately. I really don't feel like spening all sorts of money just because I can't play online without the new map packs.

GRAW has me really mad that I can't play half the games because I haven't downloaded the new content. I spent $60 on the game and now they want another $15 from me just so I can play the games I want. Everytime I think, "Oh this game looks good.", it tells me I can't enter because it's using downloaded content. Seriously wtf?!

Please don't screw over the fans Bungie! I don't care if we have to wait until late 2007. Just put everything in the game for it's launch. Don't force us into spending extra cash on a few maps just so we can get the best experience.

They'll probably do it the same way they did Halo 2. That seemed to be better...

Mr Random

Hopefully there will be more content.
But I hope it wont be as expensive as the Ghost Recon ones.
1200 points. thats around 20 bucks (australia)
not that im complaining, but dont you guys at bungie make enough money in one night of sales :P

The way bungie implemented the additional maps for H2 was ok. If they require for me to spend additional cash to play online I will be severely disappointed. After I've spent 400 bucks for an xbox 360, 50 bucks for xbox live, and 60 bucks for the game I won't be spending any more cash to play H3. I think that's plenty!

They will do what they did over halo 2, offer the maps for a certain price, these will only be inplaced in team preveiw gametypes untill a few months later all maps are released as free downloads.

When you go in GRAW multiplayer, select Optimatch, then put "Match my package" to YES and there you go, everybody has all the same maps as you in the list.

And also there was a playlist in Halo 2, "Team Preview", for the one that buyed the map packs. And it was a new playlist, people that didn't buy the maps were still able to play matchmaking like they did before.
