Subject: Do u really like using two weapons at the same time?

You guys don't get the point of dual weilding swords. It would mean that one sword would only be half as powerful as it is now. which is a good thing.

You'd also be able to hold a gun in one hand and a sword in the other, to me that'd look dumb and mean you'd be able to melee and shoot somebody at the same time.

It'd still be cheap.

I think it's done more trouble than good. I mean, you basically now have the option to wield half a weapon. Woop dee doo.

Dual magnums is pretty damn cool though I will have to admit. Shame they nerfed them somewhat in the update.

If by some chance that was in response to my remark on cheapness, make sure you have actually read my post and comprehended it.

It was an interesting idea, and im glad they held it off for halo 2. The only problem was that the execution was wrong. It really didnt end up working too well, and single weapon combos beat out the dual combos (PP/BR > SMG/Brute Plasma).

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

I hate it more than I like it.

yerp, i prefer one smg than 2, because i lvoe my grenades, gimme 2 nades and i wont even have to fire my gun to kill

If you don't like Duel-Weilding SMG's then just don't Duel-Weild them, it's that simple.

You should of made up your own instrument. You could have named it the PolarLighting -a-phone. People would buy it and they would all be like "Awh, He's so cool for inventing the PolarLighting-a-phone."

Well, you can't really count the combo, it does defeat every single weapon (and weapon combination) out there. I don't know if it was integrated into the game on purpose or by mistake, and I'm not the type to -blam!- about it when somebody hits me with it (Is use it too), it's just a little too strong.

Anybody who says Duel-Weilding is Cheap is a Dumb Ass, it is not Cheap!

It is a strategic move on th players part to duel-weild, and I have barely any problems killing People who are Duel-Weilding.

I actually enjoy the variety that Dual-wielding offers. It adds a nice dimension to Halo 2 and it should be kept for Halo 3. If you're gonna say that it sucks atleast state why, because it's not unbalanced. I have yet to see someone complain about how dual wielding is too powerful.

Dual-wielding is WAAAAAAAAAAAY to powerful.......

Not really, weapons are more inaccurate while duel-weilding.

Dual wielding should stay, it adds variety to the game play and you can STILL single wield effectively. I halfway agree with the statement that single wielding guns is a little weak. However, you have to remember, certain weapons in Halo: Combat Evolved were TOO powerful. I know everyone LOVED the pistol but COME ON!!! That thing was like a cannon, not a pistol! What Bungie tried to do was add a little balance to the gameplay by downplaying certain weapons and powering up others (through duel wielding). Sure they downgraded the pistol too much, but its just as strong as the original while duel wielding. Also, remember that the pistol was replaced by my favorite weapon, the BR. The BR isn't horrible, in fact I think its better. It's slightly weaker than the pistol but about 3 times as accurate.

Actually, i feel the DWing isnt even that powerful against the other weapons. The only advantage they ever have is in close quarters, which makes sense.

I like the idea of cutting the swords strength (damage strenght range, as well as no lunging when duel-wielding) in half so we can duel-wield it... makes sense both in terms of realism and balance, and it'd be pretty sweet, since the sword has more range then just a plain melee

I'm one of the types that enjoyed the game play of Halo 1 more. The weapons seemed much weaker in the second one, forcing you to dual wield most of the time.

I guess I'm just too nastalgic for my own good.... :(

Dual energy swords is so pointless.

maybe the first developer besides all the ones that did it before them. I seem to remember dual-wielding in GoldenEye on 64, which was done by Rare
i say keep it

Actually Marathon was made by Bungie and had dual weilding, and that was the first game to have dual-weilding, but I say keep it, its a new element, if you don't like it, don't use it, no ones forcing you, and if you think the dual weildable guns are too weak, get one thats not dual weildable

I can just picture Mechalord reading his post to a group of Halo fans at GameStop in real life: loud, halting speech, his pimpled face turning red with anger at weak noobs, wildly gesticulating and banging the counter to drive his point home, stroking his tiny teen mustache like Halo Hitler. You need a girlfriend buddy.

Dual wielding swords makes no sense at all, with one sword you can already kill somebody with 1 hit so whats the point? You arent gonna kill them any faster, your not gonna be able to kill them from any farther, its simply the same thing.

And the "give dual swords half the strenght" thing makes even less sense, on the one hand you can go with one sword and get 1 hit kills and on the other hand you can dual wield and have to kill in 2 hits.

Besides that, theres only 1 sword at most on each map for balance issues and I believe it should stay that way.

I never liked dual wielding, only because it makes the game the type to go 'Guns Blazing'. There is more skill and pleasure in killing a person with one SMG than a smg and Plasma Pistol combo.

If anything they should have an option to allow/not allow dual wielding in the next Halo installement.

Sorry, but you just made that up. The accuracy does not change at all. That would probably have been a better system.

That is not true, Bungie stated many times that weapons are less accurate while Duel-Weilding.

The BS Police is right, Bungie did state this

The only thing you should be able to duel wield with a sword would mabey be a jackles shield in a custom game like troy.
