Odd, I wasn't aware that it existed for Atari, I have a Commodore 64 version though.

Still Atari? Unless you mean the Atari XP...

Atari 2600. There was no 3600, only a 2600, 5200, and 7800.

And if you actually had this game then count yourself as unique in having an Atari game that the Junkie hadn't known about. I'm looking for it as of the last 3 minutes.

2600
yep I do- it's a top down 2d game where you're this little guy who has a pistol with ten shots and you have to find the warplans and escape the castle without being caught or killed.
you had a pistol with ten shots, could get up to 3 grenades, and find a bullet proof vest and a SS uniform, keys, and various foods... You didn't want to kill guards because then the SS chase after you and the only way to kill them is with a greade... you could also blow holes in the walls.

I don't know - Sounds like an odd way to utilize a one button joystck. Still, I remember the one where you only had a bomb, and no weapons, and you had to sneak in and put the bomb next to Hitler's bunker -- to be sure it's been 20 years since I've played it. Maybe it's time to break out the C-64.

you'd use the joystick to move and you'd shoot in the direction you're moving or you could have the 2 joystick option which let you aim in any direction and shoot, and also shoot grenades (which is the set up I like) and you'd use the keyboard for the rest of the actions.

The Keyboard? You must be thinking of an Atari ST.

The Keyboard controllers for the Atari were Number Pads (similar to a phone) were only used for Mastermind and Atari BASIC, and couldn't be used at the same time as the Joystick.

There was a port of Wolfensten to the Atari computer line, much later, but none for any of the consoles, as I've just found out. It also was on the Apple II series as well as PC and Sinclair. Here's a little info

i remember having an Atari 7200 game that used the keypad. it was a space game, and the keypad was used to punch coordinates into your warp drive and things like that. i don't recall the name, but i don't think it was called either Mastermind or Atari BASIC (if those are games(?)). and i think i even remember using the joystick to dogfight. but that was a long time ago, in a galaxy far away. and i don't know how much of my own creative juices i used to fill in the gaps.

I should have been more specific, for the 2600, they were only used for a few games.
