Yes, we all know that the Halos, upon being fired, don't destroy the flood they destroy their food.

IIRC there's two references to the flood that are key here:
To almost quote: "Anything with sufficiant biomass is destroyed"
And I can't remember where for the life of me I read this, but I swear it's true: "the body has sufficiant calcium deposits to support a flood life form"

So what does it do? Get rid of all calcium?
If it destroys anything of sufficiant biomass then by default it should destroy all flood anyway, excepting infection forms?

When the halos are activated, it blows us into space, which the flood can't really get to, or burns us to a crisp.

I am...whimsical today.

I don't think anyone knows the specifics of the Halo Network Pulse. We know it targets anything over a certain biomass and sentient creatures (sapient too, but know the difference). The Calcium reference comes from GS, scanning the Covenant landing on Alpha Halo. As Calcium seems to be important to the Flood, it would imply that the Pulse is somehow related to Calcium.
