... Are u agreeing with me, or disagreeing? I would think that a control room would mean he WOULD pilot the ship...

HES ON A COVENANT SHIP! It is techonology AGES ahead of him, so now explain to me exactly how he would know how to fly it. Also when it would have been MUCH easier for the flood to have captured an elite.

Elites don't know where Earth is. That was a brain form. It takes information from the host and flies a ship. Besids, Keyes flew the Covenant Dropship.
They most likely got many important captains together (Keyes, and the Elite Pilots) so they knew how to pilot the ship, and how to get to 'food' (Earth)

Can someone show me a picture of Keyes face in the brain form? I just want to e-mail it to my girlfriend and get her spooked.

Just a quick question I've never had answered. Are there more Graveminds out there? As in, one per installation, or is the one on Installation 5 THE Gravemind?

i doubt it

im not sure how many ppl are aware of this, but GM lives in the library; he made it his "home"

and the library in 04 is clean and spotless......quite nice

but who am i to say all GM's must live in the library? also, GS is still runnin the show. Penatent Tangent was captured by GM, and i would expect another to the same. seeing as how GS roams so freely, i believe theres only one GM

maybe the flood were trying to take over keyes so that they could find out where the ack was to stop it setting off, for the same reason gravemind was recruiting MC and the arbiter. im sure gravemind is only trying to protect himself (and maybe the rest of the flood) but just happens to have the same insentive to stop the covenant ending the world. why exactly do you still fight the flood on high charity as MC when your working with the gravemind aat that time? sorry if its really obvious lol

haha thanks, but does anyone have any theories on why mc still fights the flood on high charity, is the gravemind not actually in control of the flood, or does he not think that MC is in the right place, as in the end Mc will probably kill truth but not stop tarturus with the key. maybe MC goes to earth to help gravemind protect the ark itself, but why then are the flood still attacking him?

its somethin ive been asking this whole time and ive concluded::

GM has his own agenda and is in this for his own reasons ( remember cortana say he "used" them)

GM cant control the flood. cuz they try to kill the chief

....The Flood resemble humans because they are humans, or used to be...

Exactly... Either humans or covenant infested with the flood.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

I think Gravemind put The Chief at High Charity because Gravemind new the Master Chief was a threat.

Gravemind wanted to get the Master Chief Stranded on High Charity so his Flood minions could kill him.

Gravemind sent The Arbiter to the Control room because Gravemind new thats where the Index would end up.

but what other agendas does he have? i guess that would depend on who he was, and whether oyu beleive he is a flood forerunner or something like that. but more likly that gravemind is just a natural evoltion of the flood race, like in iRobot when the robots naturally gain intellegence? sure the flood could do that, especially as they had a very long time trapped inside the halos. iceman do you have any theories on how they survived? what their source of energy was during confinement, as they must have survived on something? and im not sure if gravemind has a agenda other than stoppoing the coventant setting off the rings, as he knows the flood will wipe out all life in the galaxy if they are left to carry on, so even though MC and arbiter want to stop the halos to save themselves surely they ahve to find another way of surviving the flood. unless they will hide in the ark and survive the rings and all else is destroyed? ive read you post on the lose lose situation and this is kind of the same...and can i be of your crew!! lol

I seriously believe that in the end we're going to have to set off the Halos or blow up In Amber Clad or something... Just to kill GM cuz if you think about it... he's a Huge Threat... if he can control MC and Arbiter like he did and then maybe even Cortana... he's just too powerful to live.

That is a good theory that makes u think, but it would be very hard for it to be true, because the ring was destroyed, but if u read the book there were many covenant ships still around there after it was destroyed, becasue thats how the Cheif got home, he stoll a covenant ship, so it might be possible that keyes i guess then "gravemind" took over a ship, and that would also kinda explain how he was able to fly and then crash in amber clad into high charity.

and i don't think the cheif punched out his face, i thought he just went and grabed the implants, also what ever happened to truth and reconciliation? maybe the flood did repair it and fly away, because captain keyes was in the control room wasn't he? so this theory could be correct

  • 07.13.2006 10:37 AM PDT

even if MC pulled the thing from his head, the ship that he was on was destroyed by the humans when the where trying to hijack it and bring it back to earth for study.
ps it was in the book

The Truth And Reconsiliation was destroyed by "Mckay" in The Flood Novel.
