I don't know if anyone else noticed but why are the trees perfectly standing with no damage? I mean, the slipspace rupture damaged/destroyed the buildings but the trees are okay? I don't get it, trees are stronger than buildings in 2552? Any ideas?

yeah,,, great idea,,, is too unusual in halo and halo 2... when I see that rockets only paint trees.. with the dark usual color. We want chaos.
I here palmeto trees are realy hard to knock down. They saved fort sumpter from bombs in the civil war.
If you watch the ending scene of the level, I think Outskirts you can see that the slip space rupture only destroys the what would most likely be the inner parts of New Mombassa. My reasoning is that in the year 2552 the city would have to be fairly large from population. Keeping this in mind when you watch the trailer you see the distant "outskirts of New Mombassa or Voi" Putting the location well out of the affects from the slipspace rupture. I do believe ther is a post that talks about the location in which the trailer occurs and thats where I draw my conclusion.
